Love the concept of playing duets with you. Do you have any tuba duets that’s a bit more challenging? Can be whatever but preferably something quite advanced since I’ve played the tuba for 11 years by now. Could also be a Tuba + Euphonium duet. I really enjoyed this video so I’m hopeful that you will make more similar videos in the future!

Hi. Check out the rest of the duets. Some of them are quite a bit harder!

Øystein Baadsvik I must have paid minimal attention during the video. Thank you so much for creating this tuba academy course! I’ll be sure to check it out.

This will be a fun way to practice my new contrabass flute, and of course, reading bass clef music. Thanks!

I actually have the star variations from when you gave them out at an IET warmup in 2018. Im thinking about using it with my school's tuba section for practice. I hope I'll see you at IET 2021! Also I've been working a bit lately on My Swedish Heart. I'm really enjoying it. Thank you for being an inspiration.

Ohhh wow! Thank Mr Baadsvik! I am starting at Birmingham Conservatoire this September and I have learned Fnugg to play as my first piece for my new teacher! I was really struggling on finding fun things to practice and this perfect! Fnugg was the first piece I ever heard on tuba and I never thought I would be now playing it let alone going on to study tuba at conservatoire level! You are an inspiration. Thank you!

I'm an electric bass player. One day I will start studying tuba, too. In the meantime, it's a huge pleasure playing duets with such an excellent musician using my p-bass. Thank you so much!

Hey these lessons have helped a lot thanks. But I’ve also been wondering do you have like a secret trick or favorite valve oil? I’m in top band at my high school and currently working on some fast technical music but with these school tubas I just can’t get my valves to stop sticking. Do you have any tips?
@tubaad4 жыл бұрын
Hi. great to hear that the lessons helped! Regarding valve oil. Did you try without oil? When I use pistons, the best way to keep them from jamming is to wipe off all oil residue, both on the piston itself as well as in the valve house. Then run the valves on pure water for a while.

Spiky Eared Pichu The course never ends. You play it in your own tempo and when you want.
