Today marks the 20-year anniversary of this game's release with many people myself included believing this to be one of if not the greatest Spider-Man game off all time. Although, the PS1 duology and the Insomniac games are very close contenders as well. This is also unlike the first movie game (that I sadly do not own a full copy of) an open world game with many places to explore and many different things you can do. You also have to attach web lines to buildings in this game which is more realistic than the games that came before where the web line didn't latch on to anything but the clouds. Bruce Campbell will be our tutorial guide for the first few chapters, so it'll be nice to hear his commentary as we commence with our journey. Fun fact: Back in September of 2005, my late father recorded me playing the first 2 chapters of the game when I was 13 years old, but the footage ended up being lost since the VHS tape (back when people still used them) had never materialized thus making it lost media forever. If I had learned about the existence of KZbin (since it was a very new thing at the time) and if I didn't lose that footage, then uploaded it to this website, it could have mostly like been one of the first Spider-Man related content ever put on KZbin and quite possibly, I could have been one of the very first Let's Players in KZbin history. Sometimes I just think what might have been (ironically the title of the first chapter in this game) if I didn't lose that footage of me playing Spider-Man 2 for the PS2 and was able to upload it to KZbin right then and there. Also, my parents didn't let me use the Internet very much unless it was school related stuff, so I wasn't able to be a KZbinr at the time. One last thing, I'm going to try (emphasis on try) to 100% this game, but I'm not making any promises. I've been looking forward to this Let's Play for a very long time, so without further ado, let's get into the swing of things! Literally and figuratively!
