This might have been your luckiest selection so far in terms of playability. Märchen Maze is beautiful in the original arcade form, maybe one of the nicest looking Namco System 1 games along with Pacmania.

PC Genjin/Bonk is good fun, although that third game definitely overloads the player with mechanics. Interestingly, Marchen Maze in the arcades had an isometric view of the action - but then Namcot (Namco's label for home conversions) turned it into a flat overhead view for the PC Engine conversion while the X68000 version was much closer to the original. It was inspired by Alice in Wonderland, and there is known to be an English version of the arcade game. (Marchen in this case comes from the German for "fairy tale"). Greatest Eleven was the second-ever licensed console game based on the Japanese professional soccer league, launched just a day before the first season started. Gary Lineker played for Grampus Eight, and it is a whale as the mascot. It's not a patch on other "soccer" games from that era. 9-0!

Interesting info about the arcade version of Marchen Maze - I imagine I'd prefer the non-isometric version 😂The football game was as rubbish as I was at playing it, for the time it was released.

Two good ones! I’ve been curious about Märchen Maze for some years, unfortunately it’s become more expensive than I’d want to pay by now.

I don't think I'd pay for it, but it was quite an intersting game to play. To be honest I'm not sure I'd buy any PC-Engine game now I have the Everdrive!

Bonk Head looks awful, so annoying. the maze thing was ok. We've not seen many good games on this system yet.

It has been a mixed bag but there have been a few decent ones. Still plenty to get through too 🙂
