Only if you move it, apparently. You can stretch that repair beam quite a bit.

@@TaxOwlbear I would have thought moving the boat would cancel the action. Unless you're refering to using another unit to push the construction boat.

It does, but if the boat is on patrol and moving on its own, it can extend the beam.
