Oh boy new lets play, which means Heres the plot, just in case. So Okina was bored of being hidden and she kinda wanted to get new slaves, so she made Satono and Mai put backdoors on people to unlock their true potential. Because of this though, the faries of each place went crazy and the over flowing power caused the seasons to freak out. Come to the game itself and Reimu is mad, Marisa is cold, Aya becomes an official news girl, and Cirno wants to become the Ruler of Gensokyo! Now in gameplay, your Subshots are your backdoor, since Satono and Mai put them on everyone. Hence your bosses being people who would usually be hidden. Also, they get to the Door world by going through Naruko's Backdoor. Except Cirno, who goes through her own Backdoor, making some really creepy imagery.

In order to give lily a portrait, he would have had to make a new asset, since she's never had one before, and he's ZUN, so it's pretty obvious that that's not happening.

Awesome video, Mino :) A couple of things you didn't mention: You also get season items from shooting enemies, and you get more if you kill the enemies faster. That's why score runs bomb the very first enemies, to power up the gauge more rapidly. A Level 1 release gives 10 PIV per bullet cancelled, Level 2 gives 20, Level 3 gives 40, Level 4 gives 60, Level 5 gives 80, and Level 6 gives 100.

Actually that doesn't look like the correct PIV. These are the results I got from some tests I did a while ago: RELEASE CANCELLING 2000 BULLETS LEVEL 1: 10,000 PIV (5/b) LEVEL 2: 20,000 PIV (10/b) LEVEL 3: 40,000 PIV (20/b) LEVEL 4: 60,000 PIV (30/b) LEVEL 5: 80,000 PIV (40/b) LEVEL 6: 100,000 PIV (50/b)

Okina's last spell card with the Winter release is very hard I can't catcher it.

I agree Mino, the game is broken but it's a lot of fun. Even through the grind, it's still great fun.

Zun really designed a lot of the game around playing as Reimu lol like so many of the spells/nons/stages (stage 5!!!) are considerably a lot more difficult without having a homing shot..... The homing amulets themselves are only barely weaker than other shots, Aya has piercing but is super weak despite the narrow range too. Shotgunning with Cirno isn't even worthwhile damage, it ends up being similar to Marisa at the bottom of the screen so she isn't like a "high risk high reward" character.

I haaaaate stage 4... also narumi gives me more trouble than Okina(final). (last run I did was 1 bomb 1 death on narumi, 1 bomb 0 death okina. shoutouts to marisaWinter and stacking lasers) speaking of which, show off the fact that until you enter dialogue or otherwise stop firing, the winter sub's lasers stack. I usually release on each boss' first non and do my best to not release for the rest of the fight. aside from okina, I release on her final spell. EDIT: aaaaand you said winter grew bigger with more. that's spring, minogame. winter gains duration.
