Let's Play Train Simulator 2016 Tutorial - Changing Locomotives in a Scenario

Have you ever played a scenario and thought, what a great scenario but I wish it used this other loco that's my favourite loco instead?
This tutorial is all about the very quick and easy way you can clone any scenario and swap the player loco (or indeed any AI locos) with the trains of your choice.
Note that you can run in to performance issues if the train you replace it with is much different to the original one - so check and then potentially adjust timings or remove AI trains to make the scenario work again. I talk about this in the video. -- Watch live at / mattpeddlesden

Changing locomotives in a scenario.... Not about what I thought it would be!! I thought this would be about a scenario where as part of the scenario, you change the train engine. I know you can change cabs using ctrl-+ and it will go to ao different loco if there's one in the consist, but what I've found out is that those locomotives can't be different from each other: trying to change from a Köff shunter to a 218 as part of the scenario, the BR218 behaved as if it still was the Köff engine!! So I was hoping that this tutorial would show me a way to still get the kind of behaviour I want, unfortunately, it's about modifying scenarios to have different engine...

So I'm trying to do this for the first time, but it doesn't look like all the locos I own are showing up on the list in the editor. I.e I want to switch all the scenarios that use the old BR DBag Class 101 (without PZB) to the "new" Class 101's that DO have PZB/AFB/Sifa on routes that have PZB, but the "new" Class 101 doesn't show up on the loco list. (i.e. Three Country Corner - I know, it's a non Dovetail route :P Or to drive the JustTrains Railjet on existing Munich-Augsberg scenarios) Is there something I'm missing?

you can do for standard only if you do it for carrer when you done changes and save it says save disabled but not if you clone scenario

Jack, just to let you know...a Coronation (City of Bradford) worked on the East Coast route as part of the 1948 locomotive exchange trials!

but what if you want to change it from a scenario of which you don't have the train? So there is this cool scenario, but I don't have the train it requires, and I want to change that. Is that possible?

You can use an external tool such as RWTools for that - but no, if you don't have the stock it won't load properly in to the editor and this trick won't work i'm afraid.
