In case you're new here... I'm Jon! I've played 6 out of the 8 episodes of Umineko before, a few years ago. Matt is completely blind and is eagerly enjoying this thrilling journey.

A little hint towards the identity of the seven sisters: pay close attention to the names of the chiester sisters, and how the seven sisters are described in action. Well, especially towards the names of the chiester sisters. 00- or DOUBLE OH. 45, or FORTY-FIVE. 410 might be more obscure, but it's in the same vein as the others. Oh, and seeing as the playthrough is nearing the end of the question arc, I'd really like to see you guys do a special theorycrafting episode where you guys try to piece together the mystery with the information at hand, will there be anything like that in the works? Edit: Oh, and if you want to solve Umineko in the first half of the game, you need to select a single perspective, and build your case based on that perspective, as the game is told from several different perspectives. I solved almost the entire game except for a few details and a single gigantic twist by the first half by doing exactly this, and I'm usually not too good at this stuff. Focus on emotions and perspectives, and you guys will manage to do just as well, maybe even bettet since one of you guys have already played ch.7.

Yes we're doing a theory video!!! We might actually livestream it - it will probably be Sunday evening US eastern time. I am totally lost with what you're saying about the identity of the seven sisters and the chiester sisters, but I'm marking it now to bring up with Matt later when we do our theory video and we'll try to deduce what this means!w I actually haven't read chapter 7. I think I started chapter 7 but that was where I took a break and never came back to it. And it's been so long since I last played that I don't think I remember anything from the answer arcs. The reason why I do remember most of the question arcs is because I ended up finding Jokrono's playthrough a few weeks before we started ours, and I watched the first 3 chapters or so of theirs. Focus on a single perspective? Meaning how one character sees everything rather than trying to determine how all the characters see everything? If so, then that helps in keeping us focused! We'll try to solve everything but considering I really don't know what "everything" consists of I'm not sure how feasible that will be hahaha. I have a list of stuff I wanna talk about: - each character's "double sides" - thoughts on all the characters in the witch world and what their existences mean/identities - the big one, who is Beatrice? - who is the actual murderer / how were the crimes committed / why? - what is Battler's "sin"? - what exactly is "magic"? Is there anything else I should add to this list?

Remember, the mystery is solvable. EP1-4 have a ton of hints, and while 5 and 6 do as well, 7 is essentially the recap/confirmation episode, so ya gotta get all your thoughts out before that point. As for the identities, it's actually kind of obvious. What kind of guns does the family often use?

As for the perspective thing, indeed different characters see things from a different perspective, and focusing on one is good. That's not all there is to the perspectives tho, you should take into consideration the perspective you are watching the characters in. You are watching the characters in third person, and this is all the stuff the witch is showing you. You are seeing events from that perspective. Mix a decent amount of mistrust and interpret events from a perspective you deem to be rational. Oh, and sorry if my writing feels cryptic, I don't want to spoil too much, so if you have any more questions or if you want something clarified feel free to ask

@@ycleped I have a couple videos to go to catch up so I don't know if you've covered this, but what about the "magic" in this video? How did the blacksuits and Kazumi die? Who is the "Eva" who appears afterward? You say in the video that you think Ange figured out how the culprit killed people and did the same thing, but the situation's different. Ange was surrounded by a group of people with guns, which is why Eva-Beatrice is surprised she can do magic (the "anti-magic toxin").
