4:00 Young Ange hurts Maria's feelings Pre Oct 1986. If you watch closely in the last video, this is shown in black and white. Pre Oct 1998 high school Ange hurts Maria again, which triggers her to remember that. Oct 1998 Ange summons Maria again in that hotel room whilst reminscing about the past and her time with Maria then.

It can be a bit confusing with all these parallel scenes in very different times. I'm unsure if Ryukishi intends it to be confusing or for us to follow it.

My question is how can 1998 Ange hurt Maria's feelings if Maria is long dead by that point? We switch to Maria's perspective which is pre-1986 and it seems like she is acknowledging Ange hurting her in 1998 but how can she know that Ange has hurt her in the future?
