Glad I caught this live stream tonight, Doug. I was already slightly aware of ENSO as a looper but didn’t think I’d find any use for it, so I never looked further into it. A few minutes into this stream, it suddenly dawned on me that ENSO is a must-have for me. I’m a big Mitosynth user, but Mitosynth is only IAA and will never become AUv3. ENSO is the next best answer to my wish for Mito to be AUv3! It will allow me to layer up multiple loops of my patches from my Mito ambient banks into AUM, and sculpt them with ENSO’s features for some interesting ambient sound scaping. The AUM recordings could then be imported into a DAW for further arranging. Brilliant demo, thanks Doug! 😎

Spidericemidas iOS Music Producer Yes, it’s very useful for doing that, also you could set up separate ENSO for each individual Mitosynth track then record the stems into AudioShare, or do the big Cubasisi set up for recording directly

Custom Keystep looking well

You know you don´t have to remove the effect (22:37). Just add a new one and then slide it over to the right and reorder them. Makes it easier if you have some adjustments done allready and then find out you have to set some effect before it.

Sadly, when I add Mitosynth to AUM I get no sound from the AUM keyboard and no way to assign the AUM keyboard to Mitosynth. What am I doing wrong?

At the top right of AUM, just to the left of the “Toaster” icon is another icon that resembles a backwards S, this is you midi routing, tap on that, then link the Keyboard (built in) to Mitosynth in the grid matrix, that should work, let me know 😎👍

@@TheSoundTestRoom Thanks, Doug, that works! I guess this is related to using IAA instead of AUv3? Animoog and other AUs have 'toaster' icons next to their app icon to assign the keyboard but there wasn't one next to Mitosynth IAA.

Yes, that’s right, all the AUv3 apps have the midi routing built into the GUI at the top left

The Midi Routing Matrix page comes in very handy when you want AUM to play and control external hardware synths

Colin Powell Glad you got Mitosynth connected. It sometimes still throws me when the midi routing option doesn’t appear next to an IAA app in AUM.

Great live stream Doug, but in future please zoom the camera in to cover just the iPad, that way we can see what you are doing better. After all, everyone knows what a Keystep looks like by now!
