Somebody spotted Kid Goku from OG Dragon Ball during the game mode showcase. While the image is low res, it’s definitely him because his orange gi without the blue undershirt as well as the “Ozaroo Dragon Fist (the one he defeated King Piccolo with)” can be seen prominently. So OG Dragon Ball IS in the base game.

Okay, so from the 90%+ roster : I generally agree with most, some of them were already confirmed too, but I assume you do know that and no need to point out which. The only things I would point out is that at the moment SSRage Trunks, and 17 (Z) look a bit iffy. It seems very likely that in this game your supers are tied to the character costume. And in this case, these two could actually be costumes. 17 because he's already so similar that just changing the supers may be enough, and Trunks mostly based on the demo footage online. Other than these 2 I would agree with the whole list as being pretty much for sure going to be in. (I would maybe add Rosie too [Also I am very sad that Ribriane, Kakunsa and Rosie are very unlikely to have their base forms in the game, because not gonna lie - I would prefer to play their base forms than their transformations ^^]) When it comes to very likely, yeah I also feel the same, these are quite likely but I can see them not being in. And I'd definetely lean more towards option 1 than 2, I'd personally like to see more fleshed out Tournament of Power roster. But well, even if they will come in the DLC's at least I will be able to make my own TOP story mode with them

Gohan (Kid) is definitely getting Great Ape over Nappa or Raditz, although they could get it too based on how the old games did things. If Goku (Kid) is here, then I could see him getting Great Ape before these other Great Apes like Raditz that were really game-original and not from the manga/anime. Bardock is another one who could get Great Ape (and Super Saiyan).

Super gave us more unique giants to work with that we don't really need all the Great Apes anymore, especially when not all of them even appeared in the anime and they were mainly just reskins with the same mouth blast moves. I don't think the ozaru form of characters that didn't convert like Raditz, Nappa, Bardock, I also think that characters that have never fought should not appear like King Vegeta, evil buu or Monaka. Also I don't think it would be right to put Gogeta Z, it would be better to give his moveset to him as a super and give him a recolor to the optional vest. The characters that I am most interested and curious about are the super characters in the tournament of power, I think they should be: universe 6: Mageta, Botamo, Kyabe, Kyabe ssj. universe 10: ... maybe Obni. universe 2: already complete [not human form]. universe 3: Agnilaza and Catosperra. universe 4: Ganos and Derkori universe 9: Bergamo is enough maybe Basil. universe 11: It is complete.

I really hope we get to play characters that were not or rarely exploited in DB video games so far, the likes of King Vegeta, SSJ4, Janemba, Thalès, Slug, Bojack. Potentially, a version of "non-cannon" Broly from the OAV who remains my favorite version. There's a lot characters that we really do no give two shits about (Ribrianne...) that should not be prioritized over cool antagonists from movies etc...

GT will be downloadable content for Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. Don't you remember that the GT characters has been in the Budokai Tenkaichi games since BT1. So I know they're focusing on Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super characters in the base game, but it makes sense for the original Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z Movies, and Dragon Ball GT characters will be DLC for Sparking! Zero. As of right now, they're focusing on both Dragon Ball Super: Superhero and Dragon Ball Daima for the first season pass.

I believe that the characters of this game has to many icons. From the demo we see that goku has mid and end versions and several other characters that have different forms have alot of icons. Wouldn't it be easier if there was only 1 icon for each type of versions and then select which state you want to use? I believe that would be easier and less confusing.

Costumes have already been confirmed, so imo 17 (Super) isn't denoting that there will be a Z version, as that's just a costume, but rather a 17 (GT) for Super 17, because calling him Super 17 would be confusing. Same with Gogeta (Super) existing because there will be a Gogeta (GT) for SS4 Gogeta. Could be wrong tho.

For Great Apes I think we'll get the ones that were on screen and noteworthy So I would say a generic Great Ape for Goku/ Gohan, Bardock, Fasha (if she's added) and Baby (when added) So 4 total. Raditz and Nappa never showed on screen and I think showing on screen is crucial. As for packs I could see a variety of cool packs. Lets say they aim for 5 characters in each one (first of all I suspect Freiza Soldeirs in base game) and these are all assuming these characters aren't base PTO Pack: - King Cold - Lord Chilled - Tagoma - Sorbet - Frieza Soldier (Super) I would love the full Coolers Armoured Squadron. All 3. At this point, especially after having it pointed out to me how many giant characters there can be without great apes I'm not so sure my initial guess is right. On one hand I feel it's kinda weird to have a character who can transform not but you are on the money about them prioritizing characters we have actually seen in action. Not sure of Xenoverse would make into the roster but some good pack ideas. Hopefully the wait between each pack isn't ridiculous.
