Wow this is the best video I’ve viewed on the Whale Tail and my other favorites that you mentioned here as well, I used your video to separate the pop from my beautiful whale Tail mother plant. Looks like she’ll have another coming sometime down the road. This has been a great buy as it only cost me $6.99 and I’ve spent twice that much and have nothing to show for them. Thank you so much for taking the time to show us how to properly take care of our beautiful snake plants I look forward to future videos.

I just bought a few of the whale fins including the varigated ones. Hope mine has babies one day. One of the ones I bought has a baby starting to grow. Excited to see that. Mine were shipped bare root so I could see it. I don't have a Moonshine yet but do plan to get one. Just got the Night Owl and it had five babies. I plan to keep one and sell the other four. I absolutely love the Sansavierias!

You’d better dry & seal the cuttings by ground cinnamon to prevent pythium, phytophthora, rhizoctonia or fusarium fungi which spreads into the roots, infecting the whale fins.

I’ve been watching and reading as many division info sites as possible to see what to do about the raw open wound of the divided plant, and no one else but you has mentioned anything about that concern of mine. Thank you so much for your informative comment. It didn’t make sense to me to put the large wounded plant directly in the soil. I wish you could contact me directly on the question I have as to your instructions of drying the wound first. Do you mean leaving the wounded plant out and exposed to air to dry? Or do you mean just use cinnamon on the wound and then plant it?
@zionlee1753 жыл бұрын
@@coburgkid I saw some video they seal the cutting with cinnamon and dry in air two to three days, then plant in soil/or plant in dry soil watering after 1 week. I’m not specialist, I like plants, I’m watching & learning.
