I subscribe to the idea that the P2 duology has some of the best designed Ultimates in the series. Easily my favorites of the bunch are Gabriel (the pipes as wings just works too well) and Chronos (the clock face and backstory are excellent).

Funny I don’t like persona 1 and 2 personas very much and much prefer 3 and 4 but that’s just me

A detail that makes me really like Artemis is her color pallette. Maia was black and pink, while Artemis is blue and white. Even though i agree her cover plates look a bit goofy i really appreciate that detail.

I totally agree with these rankings as I think Persona 2 has the best ultimate personas with Apollo being in my top 3 favourite personas. For some reason I had a mandala effect with Hyperion, I thought he wore a poncho which made him look like a cowboy.

The Personas from 1 and 2 were designed by Kaneko instead of the Soejima designs from 3 onward. I don't think one is inherently better as both have their ups and downs, but they definitely drew from very different inspirations.
