Imma say it, this is one of the most WEIRDEST rankings and lists of Season 9 Ive ever seen.

Season 9 is a weird season to rank because the gap in quality between episodes is so small that it really comes down to your preferences. Every episode is a banger (minus Jason vs Myers, Deku vs Asta and Boba vs Predator. Those are like the only 3 flops of the season) so personal preference is the prevalent aspect. For example, i have Omni Man vs Homelander as 3rd, Magneto vs Tetsuo as 2nd and SpongeBob vs SF Aquaman as first and that's because of the attachment i have to those characters (or just SpongeBob on the latter's case) but the episodes on 4th and below are pretty close between each other. It was a really solid season and as of now season 10 seems to be even more consistant. There's no episode i consider a flop yet and we're more than halfway there

We'll have to see what waits for us, both with the Ranking, and with Colex. Can safely say I'll take the reins more with the next one, hopefully that equals smoother production, lol, Hyper has his own things going on, so obviously he shouldn't have to be a main editor, but he likes laying claim to things he wants to edit in advance, lol.

Solid work guys, there are some things I disagree with ranking wise personally, but it’s still a great video. (Such a dam shame that DA was in a bad spot when Micheal vs Jason was being made; it more than likely affected the performance of the animation; at least there were some things to enjoy in the fight despite its flaws)

Season 9 have some episodes that me and my siblings enjoy. My brother Davin likes horror, so he enjoys Jason vs Michael. And my other brother Adrian likes LOTR, so he enjoys Sauron vs Lịch King. And I enjoy Dragon Ball, SpongeBob, Invincible, and The Boys, so I like episodes Omni Man vs Homelander, Trunks vs Silver, and SpongeBob vs Aquaman. I call these episodes I like “the Chuckie episodes”.

With Deku vs Asta I only can say my issue with it is the assumption Asta giant "swords" are in any way equivalent to historical greatswords. It did feel they skimmed over Predator analysis,there was a lot more stuff they could have talked about to make his analysis more fun. The song for Apocalypse vs Black Adam got that fiery energy & the death was pretty awesome. Herc vs Sun really makes me wanna see more mythology characters in DB.

Same, Asta's would be my least favorite, from the inaccuracies and omission of details, but I wouldn't say any is downright awful.

@@Redrunner613 Agreed. However Asta and Dekus lack of coverage comes from the fact that this episode was done too soon. It was scripted, recorded and finished months before it’s release and as a result, many things that existed when the episode came out. Didn’t exist when it was recorded True devil Union, Gear shift, Etc. They only managed to squeeze gear shift in cause they had enough time to go back and re record that into dekus analysis. But not enough time to re write that into the fight or conclusion So yeah it’s just a fault of. Episodes are made in production so much earlier, even if something currently exist when the episodes released. Chances are the episode was recorded long before its existence.

I will say thou while I do agree on the ranking on jason v michael. I do feel bad for the animtor devilartemis since he was going throught some shit while this episode was out, also didn't help that some parts of community respone didn't help

I gotta be honest. I didn't really like season 9 that much. It was full of match ups i didn't care about at all and nothing about the ones I did care about made me interested enough watch the ones I didn't care about. Contrast that to season 10 which was kicked off with a match a cared about quite a bit and was so good that that watched the second and it was amazing, too. Season 10 made me want watch the match ups I don't care because i can be confident the episode will be still be enjoyable, something that wasn't present in season 9. I wouldn't say season 9 is bad, or good, it just disappointed me.

Actually it's 18 regardless what rules you go by, since Raiden VS Excalibur is in the same boat as Boys Battle Royale, not being an officially numbered Episode. Which means you either don't count Homelander, or don't count Excalibur. (Goes down to 16 if you don't count variations like Xeno or Super Friends)

With how much death battle seemed to enjoy killing Sonic characters even making "MY" least favorite episode of all time Mario vs Sonic 2018 I'm truly happy seeing Sonic have good episodes that i have issues with. I don't really care who wins i just don't enjoy seeing my favorite characters die and i definitely! @@Redrunner613 first you guys complain about them starting off small with chains and bunnies. Would you like Goku Vs superman more if they started blowing each other into mountains? No it's all about building up to their most impressive attacks. Second with the scale and impact argument they portrayed the multiverses as balls to show how powerful both truly are. Something we can't comprehend in size like a multiverse is just used by these characters to juggle and throw at each other. The whole point of the fight is to show how cosmic they are by playing it off as goofy. One because it fits into wandavison's sitcom tropes and 2 it fits in with zaytana and her personality. It felt like you guys didn't like it just because it was marvel Vs DC. And this is coming from someone who doesn't watch the movies or read the comics. I'm not a fan of either of these franchises but I still understood what they were going for.

Oh we got what they were going for, we even acknowledge it, but scale and impact are different things, the fight had a massive scale, but there wasn't much impact once you get past the one exchange where they grow larger than each other, at least for 3 of us. And on the first point, I think you misinterpreted our intent, you can go back and look if you want, but at no point did we imply there was a problem with starting with the chains, I described it as "low octane" but that's just factually correct, not an issue in and of itself.

@@Redrunner613 it felt like in the video you was criticizing the episode for not being the basic marvel DC herald fight. I understand not liking the episode but the reasons given felt like things you could say about any episode. Like for example majin buu Vs Kirby. Oh the fight starts off with simple hand to hand which is pretty low scale for these two. Then at the end we don't get a big explosion when buu goes into the sun. This episode has no impact. You see what I mean?

I do, but again, we never say that, the lack of impact had nothing to do with it starting low scale. You can have low impact fights without it being low in scale, and you can have high impact fights without being high in scale. I think the main critique was not giving us a super wide variety of abilities from the two if anything. Zatanna gets more than Wanda in that regard though, Wanda has: telekinesis, Hex Summons, and her 'No More Sound' gambit. And you really need to understand that I don't think any of us really disliked this Ep (except maybe Hyper, idk really)

Didn't even get an opportunity to say that in the segment, but yeah, that final collision probably should've been a kick. He does use his legs throughout the fight, but not for any of the big moments. It feels like they conceptually wanted to use these two, but didn't really put much into showing off the full variety of abilities they had.
