The national selection was a mess... almost 4 and a half hour, but at least the chosen MEGARA! I'm so happy! and she was sick with bronchitis during the semi final, so the group made to the second chance and them win! Also in a side note they send this song to the Benidorm Fest, but didn't make the cut, so they said: Why not San Marino...and now they win!

@ Similar to Germany, where the broadcaster sorted out From Fall to Spring, the fan favorite from last year's Tiktok voting, before the NF and sent songs to the NF that were completely unsuitable for the ESC and nearly no one likes.

We Spaniards are very happy and proud that they are finally going to Eurovision- they deserved a lot going to Eurovision last year - and that we have 2 acts from our country this year in Eurovision and we'll be able to vote for San Marino in their semifinal - Spain votes in the 2nd semifinal - so we are definitely going to vote massively for them in order to have them also in the final as well as Nebulossa

Spaniards you don't need to exaggerate. You only can contribute a maximum of 12 points so it won't be a big of a deal

@@SC-bq7ob why not? As we could vote for Spain we might vote for San Marino as they're represented by Spaniards with a song in Spanish that's likely going to feature Italian lyrics as well. Also it's not a bad song that they send for once, might not be for everyone but it's still 10 steps ahead of Piqued Jacks or Achille Lauro.

@@jodygrottino8257 Italy never votes for San Marino. Spain of course will and can do that but the maximum points they can get for Spain are 12 no matter how many votes Megara gets so atm I am not seeing them getting a better result than 11th in the semi

As an American neutral whose Eurovision country is San Marino, it was such a relief to not only see them pick a good act after the embarrassment of "Like an Animal" last year, but to also pick an act that I adored at Benidorm Fest last year and am delighted to see finally make the jump to Eurovision! Will for sure be rooting proudly for Il Titani again after hanging my head for a few years (what with the vote-swapping in 2022 as well). Get thee back to the final!!

As spaniard, Megara was my absolute winner last year (Blanca was a great winner too) and I had hope they would come back this year. Knowing they had this opportunity and won is so wonderful

This year had the greatest selection of songs in the last three years of this selection! They really upped their game! But Megara were CLEARLY the best! I was so happy when I learnt they won. How could Spain REJECT this song for Benidorm Fest over some of their songs?

Also, technically many artists can apply to multiple National Finals with the same song, if they're not selected (hell, that's what Megara did, they submitted "11:11" for Benidorm & got snubbed, so they took it to San Marino). But yeah, it is very rare for the same song to compete in 2 different National Finals in the same year.

Wow, even though I preferred Arcadia last year, I still believe this is definitely gonna qualify. Loved it. And I don't think Norway is gonna be a too direct competition, as both entries are in their own niche.

ironies of life: Nebulosa tried to represent San Marino last year and Megara to Spain. Now Nebulosa represents Spain and Megara represents San Marino. The official vídeo clip is very nice (if you like to see it).

Fun fact: one of the members of the band "Booom!", that were too at Una voce per San Marino, is the son of Nusa Derenda, the girl that took techno for Eslovenia in 2001, reaching the 7th place.

I lost my shit when I saw Megara won UVPSM!! "Arcadia" was my 2nd favorite song in all of Eurovision season last year (behind "Evita" in Albania) & while "11:11" isn't quite as epic, it's an awesome party rock anthem & hella enjoyable & I'm sure Megara will absolutely serve on the Eurovision stage (especially hoping Kenzy isn't sick then). They have a legitimate chance of qualifying from Semi 2.

I was soooo happy that the won and I mus admit I was prepared to get a messy song from San Marino again - I mean they had 129 songs in the Selection plus a song written with the help of an AI in the final - And we had Loredana who is a legend and it was actually the second time this happened - the Stripper guy from 2022 was also first in San Remo and after that he won in San Marino

In 2022 after Elis Mraz lost in Czechia she reapplied to San Marino with the same song, Imma Be. Elis qualified to the semi, but was then shortly disqualifed for going over the 3 minute limit.

Paco esto es una locura ,el año pasado Nebulosa en san marino y megara en Benidorm fest y este año al contrario y las dos a Eurovisión pinchame que no me lo creo 😍 los españoles a votar en masa a San Marino en la semifinal para que se clasifiquen y tener a Nebulosa y Megara en la final 🙏🙏🙏😜

Well they have the chance to get 12 point from both Spain and Italy this year in the semi-final. I personally like this song, is not bad. The problem with Loredana is that she's 74 years old so the voice is a bit strained, but that's normal. Unofrtunately she won't be able to annoy her ex-husband😂

san marino has no nationality requirement in their selection, and it is the second time someone has recycled their song from another selection in UVPSM. The last time was 2 years ago with a czech artist

the reason why, San Remo is the oldest songfestival in Europe, 1st time it took place was 1951 , older than Eurovision.... and its a songfestival for Italy but not "the official qualification show like Melodifestival" as long as Italy take part in Eurovision, the winner can go to Eurovision...but isnt forced to go... often the 2nd or 3rd place went to Eurovision... sometimes as well with a different song... generally the show was very entertaining.. but it still dont get it - that a 8 people Jury with the average age of 60 voted for Megara... 😅🤣 Loredana Berte was the queen and by far better😍😍😍 , but I cross my fingers for San Marino - they did a great show and I watched all 5 Seminfinals and had a great time there

I don't know why people are raving about this but sleeping on Czechia's Aiko? Granted, the live performance of Pedestal wasn't great (can hopefully be improved) but the song is a lot more solid than this. This song doesn't have any memorable hooks though it can't be called bad.

@@JochenSchoenherr terminology regardless, they sound very similar to my ears, and it's not like punk and metal are that dissimilar. They both fall under the same umbrella of musical genres.

Pedestal is one of my favorite songs this year, but that performance was really bad and not only because of the audio mixing but also Aiko's singing in that performance, so while I really hope she does a lot better, I can't have too high hopes until I see the improvement. Megara actually sounds pretty solid, it's a cool song too, but the audio is clearly not great.
