A fun little science experiment you might like: use your fancy-schmancy mic to exclusively record your air conditioning. Then, take that recording and invert it on your favorite audio processing software (Audacity is free) and the science is that if you simultaneously play a sound and its inverse, they theoretically cancel each other out. So whenever the air conditioning turns on while you’re recording ASMR or whatever, get an external speaker to play the inverse sound and turn it off when the air conditioning turns off. Ally is a bit more of a random variable considering when she’ll “meow” and wouldn’t be as feasible to attenuate haha! It wouldn’t be perfect and could realistically risk adding/subtracting sounds to/from your ASMR sounds, but could be worth trying if it just sounds fun to you. Glad your flute career goes on after the risky dental procedure :)
