Very good advice to think through towel racks and storage. We lived in Seattle for years and for most of the year towels would not dry in 24 hrs. Since living there, we have tried heated towel warmers, which come in a variety of shapes (tall and skinny or short and wide) and they can dry folded towels even in a couple of hours. Heated floors also help to reduce dampness. We are also fans of a floating cabinet in a small bathroom. Besides the visual benefit of feeling less obtrusive, you get a little extra space for storing the floor scale or a floor register.

Is there a way to go back to the 1st video of this series?

Toilet paper storage should be enclosed so no toilet flush mist lands on those precious rolls of paper. Enclosed in plastic lined drawers near the toilet or a bathroom closet that holds towels and bars of soaps.

Make sure that drawer has a blower door score of no more than 0.6 ACH50!

Our boy "Booty shorts Dettmore" is back and I have to admit, I'm finally getting used to that 5 o'clock shadow/beard. I guess that ball cap isn't going any where, lol. I DO wish that Matt would get rid of these goddamned commercial advertisements on every episode. Sure its transparent, and up front at the beginning of each episode, but they don't do anything to improve the utility of these videos for the audience they're intended for... IDK who did the tile, but it looks pretty good, NGL. That cardboard template trick was an awesome idea... MDF cabinets are trash, why on earth would you use them in a WET environment given its susceptibility to moisture? The layout of that bathroom, is wild...why not put the sink under the window where that tub is - no one uses tubs anymore do they? And the toilet FACING the shower is WILD...lmao.

Moisture resistant MDF is a thing. If they didn't have use for a tub, they wouldn't have gotten one. I don't see how the toilet facing the shower is a problem, since they likely have another bathroom.

moving the toilet plumbing would surely be a lot of work. Also this isn't a kitchen, I'd want a vanity above my sink not a window. Also privacy glass on shower stall would resolve that "issue"?
