Let's ride the Stigo E-Scooter! Pt2

Let's go on a ride around Circuit Makati using the Stigo E-Scooter. With a 25KPH top speed and a range of 30-40KM, this electric vehicle weighs in at just 14KG.

Circuit Makati is a new development from Ayala, if you haven't been there already, I highly recommend checking it out.
The Stigo includes a twist-grip accelerator, rear disc brake, front v-brake, a 250W hub motor and a 36V control, a 250 W hub motor, and a 36 V lithium-ion battery.

The Philippines seem to be making a big effort introducing electric vehicles. Good video.

Yep! Aside from private sellers pushing e-vehicles, the Philippine Government are having a big push for e-vehicles are part of their Public Utility Vehicle (PUV) modernization program. They want to update and improve the jeepneys and tricycles being used as mass-transport with cleaner vehicles, efficient pickup/drop-off planning and better training and fairer wages for drivers.

Gadget Addict double thumbs up! It's rare to see compliments about Manila and so refreshing to see any mention that for all that is wrong and ugly, that is only half the story! More appropriate for you perhaps to give a plug (this is your site!) if you agree but for anyone in need of emergency Wow Manila therapy or refreshed perspectives I'd point them to Carlos C. "Walk ..." tours. I'm sure you know who I mean :-). Your site and way off topic so yours to do with whatever. On topic is I love this thing. Out of my budget but on my wish list! The clincher for me is it's fold up and ease of pull it around. A good accessory might be a sprung side stand like on a motorcycle so it can stand alone and a clip on folding shopping basket. Useful around the market or mall and particularly the supermarket!

Nice thing about it, if it rains or run out of power, you could always take a jeepney or tricycle and strap it at the back with bungees. Imagine carrying it inter island w/o paying the price of a roro and the hassle of it being check for papers and the extra fees thAt comes w/ it. Heck you could fit it in a smaller bangka if need be!

Yep that's exactly it! Some might see the folding feature as a bit of a gimmick but it's really not. It's what makes this a truly viable alternative to existing transport options.

The Stigo is a nice scooter to have but the price is really an investment you have to consider in owning one. I've seen a foldable scooter too at CDR-King which is much cheaper than this one. I think it also runs with a lithium ion battery too. I hope you can also make a review of it, if you ever seen one from their store branches. They usually displayed it at the big malls in the Metro. cdr - king california E-runner cost around 500$, a lot cheaper, but maybe built quality matters​😁

Wow interesting. I didn't even know they'd started selling something like that. All the e-bikes I've previously seen from CDRKING / California Eco-Bike are made to look like motorbikes are are so bulky. I'm guessing they're not comparable in terms of materials used, battery brand, motor quality etc. But still an interesting little e-scooter or e-bike that I'd like to try out!

lol maybe an umbrella on top of a helmet? I wouldn't want to ride around Manila roads without a safety helmet. I like the idea of adding a shopping basket on the front, especially if it could somehow fold up also.

As to your comments that the front light is always on. Actually you can switch it off by pressing the power button twice with maybe a 1 second interval. Cheers.

thats really nice its like the scooter version of boosted board lols,I havent been there ,try to sell your ebike then buy that one lols,then next time you can ride that in manila watershed in qc lols

That's how I thought of it too. Without the steep learning curve of a boosted board. I am planning to sell my ebike but I wont get much for it because the battery (lead acid) has gone bad it's insanely heavy and old.

Dont you need to register it with the LTO? I read somewhere that ebikes need to be registered

I think the size of panel you could fit on this wouldn't really be worth the limited extra range it could provide you. But you could have a 100W solar setup at home to charge this :)

+matteo distasio I've seen some other videos of it going up hills and it will go slower but you'd be surprised it can still handle a reasonable grade. If it's too steep then yeah you'd have to get off and roll it.

The maximum rider weight is 100 KG which is around 220 LB :)
