Saw them this past Saturday night in Minneapolis, pretty much the same show. I took my 18 year old son, who started listening to OMD at 6 years old while playing around with my desk top. I started listening back in the early 80's . This show was amazing! I WAS BLOWN AWAY by the power, energy, sound, quality, voices, instrumentation, and the overall show! THESE GUYS ARE NOT AGING!!!! It was by far the best show I have seen in years...maybe the best ever! Goosebumps all night...especially with my son there with me. COME BACK OMD!

Back in the 80's. They had their own studio in Liverpool called The Gramophone Suite. They invited me to their studio one Sunday, while they were rehersing tracks from Architecture & Morality album. I had ambitions to work in recording studios, which didn't happen. Andy McCluskey was a top guy. Everything he was telling me went over my head 😁 I still have the letter he sent me with the invite. No texts in those days 😂.

First saw OMD (with Malc) in Sheffield in the early 80s, and waited 40 years to see them again at Let`s Rock Leeds where they were "Electricity". They have refined the music as it was quite raw when they first started and Andy, his dancing moves (I have never seen anyone with so much dancing energy). One of the most entertaining bands ever with the ad libs and their friendship is so apparent! They should bring out a single "Longevity". Great day, great weather, great band!!!

I wish we had You Tube in the 1980 onward. As an American born & raised in NYC [sounds like an oxymoron I know] it would have been great to know OMD along with Joy Division when they were debuting; If it were NOT for WLIR that was dedicated to Punk and alternative rock along with WKCR, the radio station for Columbia University and other college stations around the US we would have missed them completely. I now realise I learned how to dance in the 80's from Andy McCluskey. The sound quality is quite excellent for a live outdoor concert. I'm curious to know your connection to the band. It wasn't until I heard "Talking Loud and Clear" did I realize I remembered this song when it came out in the '80's when we began Fashion Week in NYC to help raise money for the City. OMG!!! I've been trying to remember for DECADES the name of this song and who recorded it!!! Thank You for uploading and posting MarkFromEastLeigh.
