I loved your takeaway message. I'm not a runner, but I feel like that's just great advice. Covering the distance no matter how fast you accomplish it. ❤

Great video. Keep up the hard work. I'm training for my first marathon this upcoming Feb and vlogging about it. I love watching others also putting in work!

Hi Jen, ANOTHER great video, thank you! I'm 56 and so sorry I didn't start running 25+ years ago as sadly, I'm probably a little too old to start but nothing to stop me from good walk! I hope all the KZbin regulation/nonsense settles down as I really look forward to and enjoy your videos. I hope your eye is totally healed and congratulations on a great run! ---Susan

Thank you so much, Susan! Yes, the eye is all better, Thank God, and I so appreciated everyone's prayers and support! And the youTube channel will have to have a few tweaks but nothing major. I'm not going anywhere.

That trail goes about 12 miles in one direction and I absolutely adore it. Such a blessing to have a safe and gorgeous place to put the mileage in!

For me the first mile is the hardest. After that I think I’m in the zone! Love that you love your polar watch and I make more of an effort to wear mine. The video makes me want to train and run in races again.

It's so true, the first mile is always hard!!

Why is it that 5 miles feels totally manageable, and 6 is so daunting? 😂 That always happens to me. Thanks for the inspiration! I haven’t run since Sunday and I have a 15K next week. Headed down to Orlando and I can’t WAIT to run in the mornings!

Oh my gosh i love running in Orlando this time of year!! And yes, no idea why. It’s a mystery!!🤣🥰

I jogged without walking a 5k for the first time last week. I'm working now on going through the program with a faster pace. PS: I am not a runner and don't know any runner speak lol. Good job!

That encouragement was just what I needed now that I’m staring down my 20miler this weekend. :) no matter how many 20 mile runs I do, they always freak me out. Lol
@JoyfulLivingwithJenLefforge5 жыл бұрын
Seriously, Jessica, what is that?? I only had to do SIX MILES and I almost couldn't sleep! I've been a runner for a decade and I guess if that hasn't gone away by now it's not going to. But then we do it and go, wow, who knew??

I agree that sometimes the hardest thing is to just get out the door. Mile 3 is often my toughest when I'm doing a long run. I just want to give up, my heart rate can be a bit high, (and sadly it is where I injured myself during two races this year). But once I get to mile 4, things just feel better and I have settled in to a groove. Good luck with training!
@JoyfulLivingwithJenLefforge5 жыл бұрын
So, interesting, this was my first really long run doing heart rate training and I saw a steady incline until mile 4 and then things settled way down even though my pace went up! So I was running faster but my heart rate was went way down. Aren't our bodies fascinating??

You ran on vacation?! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

YUP! 4 times in fact. I actually really love running on cruise ships and they had an awesome promenade deck that was a 1/4 mile running track. Helps burn off the vacation calories!

What a terrific run! My 30 min for runday Monday was not great 🤷♀️. I think I needed another day of recovery (I did 5.25 miles on Saturday) & I needed more time stretching/foam rolling before my run. I’d have been barely ahead of the balloon ladies. 😂 It’ll be okay tho. I get to try again in a few days & then log 6.5 miles this weekend (hopefully).
@JoyfulLivingwithJenLefforge5 жыл бұрын
I always need 2 days of recovery after a long run so I'm betting that's exactly what was going on with you, Sarah!

Is there a link to the run ID? I didnt see it in your Amazon link. Such a smart idea. Also the first mile is my hardest to get my body in the game and my mind in the right headspace.

just head to roadid.com and you'll find it! I'll go add the link in the description box now.
