Clever idea making the coal loads. I like the guitar in the corner also. Great looking engines.

Thank you! The guitar is an older Keith Urban Player. It was my first guitar, It holds sentimental value. Thank you for watching!

Nice, I’m a guitar player also. Like the finish on that one.

First time seeing this Layout, great idea for your coal loads from scratch build. Well done on this Layout. Mike HO from Australia.

Love this channel and you modelling the American Southwest. Might I ask, what are the dimensions and curve radius of your layout?

Sand first, then paint. Those loads have to be scratching up the paint on the inside of your cars when you force them in like that.
@modelrailroadingthesouthwest7 ай бұрын
They were sanded before painting. I don’t think I’ll ever pull these loads out of those cars and the material is made from walnut shells so they don’t seem too abrasive.
@modelrailroadingthesouthwest7 ай бұрын
I misunderstood what you meant by sanding and then painting I guess that would’ve been a better idea than just trying to shove them in lol.

Interesting about the video quality. I was watching ScottRails live feed this weekend, and he had several cheap $25 cameras set up along with a couple of iPhone cameras. To my eyes, the $25 cameras looked better. Maybe it's a model train thing?

PS Your new camera looks fantastic!

Thank you! I think the sensors on iPhones have a hard time in certain lighting and environments so they overcompensate and make stuff look bad. Sometimes cheaper is better.

Check to make sure ALL the rotary couplers are correct or the guys at the dumper are not going to be happy.
