this movie is a study of mental illness, sensitivity, and it's after affects .....well done. Zorha Lampert did an incredible job in this movie. Me and a friend of mine were discussing her in this role a couple of weeks ago....pure beauty in portraying such a delicate human being. I will consider this movie as a cult following, mostly because of Zohra Lampert's incredible performance as a sensitive human being spiraling into madness over and over and over.....

Yes I agree...in a word..CREEPY....I get what you mean about the trailer...if you look at many trailers from the late 60's and 70's..they all gave too much away..they pitched movies like they pushed laundry detergent..all the best scenes and a voiceover saying things like the creepiest or scariest movie ever made...they sound like carnival barkers!!..LOL...Check out the original 1975 trailer for JAWS....they did it right...they showed everything and nothing....Cheers to you and YES..one of the most under rated horror movies ever made!

How true.....but watch any trailer from the 50's to the 70's...it was like selling dish detergent....all the best parts of the film to get you there...however, check out the original 1975 full 2 min trailer for JAWS....that's how you sell a movie, find a way to show everything and nothing...without one shot on being shown when the shark jumps on the boat.... Beyond any shadows of doubt the 1970s were the most profound and influential era for cinematic horror films. A strange haunting ambiance of ominous dread permeates and radiates from every frame and sound of this cult classic movie. Definitely this is one of the very best from that provocative and unforgettable decade. And recognize the future soon to be doctor from The Exorcist two years later.
