Using the Squares & Rectangles calibration grid from Projectors for Sewing FB page is even easier than the grid you used. The Squares & Rectangles file is right above the one you selected. I downloaded it and keep it saved in Adobe Reader so I can occasionally open it and double check to make sure my I'm still accurate. Remember, if Adobe Reader does an update, you must open the calibration grid and check to make sure your Zoom % doesn't need to change. My has changed incrementally with some updates. It's super easy to adjust the zoom percentage when you open the calibration grid in Adobe.

I did end up using that one as well and I should have gone back and shown it in the video. I am hoping those watching this video will take a trip over to the page and get all the help that they need. that group is super amazing and helpful!

Finally, someone who’s willing to record the frustrations and imperfections of projector sewing. Thank you so much for this video!! By you recording this, it has inspired me to tackle the project - AGAIN. For a while, I thought there was something wrong with me because I couldn’t understand how to put the darn projector together… and the CALIBRATING!! Giirrrrrl… I was pulling out my hair…If more sewist can explain that it’s not necessary to get it perfectly calibrated AND it won’t make a huge difference on the pattern, then maybe it won’t scare or frustrate a lot of us. Thank you again! If you can please save this and any future projector sewing to a playlist, that would be very helpful. God bless you and your clever, curious, determined mind💕🙏🏻

You inspired me. I bought the Ditto, hated it, and so now have bought your exact set up because of this video! If anyone wants to buy the Ditto, let me know 😂

Girrrrl!! Thank you so much for this video! I’ve had this same projector for about a year, got it the same way you did, I have not had the courage to get it on a stand. I’m going to follow your example here. I’ve been waiting for this!! I too tried a ceiling projector and got so frustrated. You had me cracking up with your screws and such falling to the ground and around the table, it’s so me!! Your instruction, though, is golden!! Thanks again 😘 🪡

Same here. I even had my husband build the wood stand that was designed in that fb group and still never did anything with it. 😮 but I like your stand and hate to not use the one my husband made because he put a lot of effort into making it wonderful. I’ll give mine a try now. 🤓😍

Im so glad it was helpful. I was so scared and tried a few different ones that did not work so once I finally got it I was so excited to share it with y'all!! I just want to encourage everyone to try again because it's so much easier and faster than printing!

This video was helpful showing the back of the projector and the way to mount the projector. I ordered the same projector you have a couple of days ago, and now due to Labor Day it won’t come till Tuesday. I showed my husband the part of the video showing the plate and projector mounting holes, and he knew what he was seeing. It is exactly the same way his external computer monitor is out on a desk stand, which I ordered from Amazon for $27. The table I will use is very big so having it on a desk stand at the end of the table will work great.

Thank you for this video. I have purchased sooooo many projectors and stands trying to project my photos enlarged down to a canvas to trace. You have inspired me to purchase your setup and use it for art. We’ll see, cross your fingers that it works,

Dianna, I watch your sew alongs all the time. Since you use the E&M patterns, I have often wondered for a long time why you haven't yet converted to projector sewing. So excited and glad for you. I can't wait to watch you on this new journey. I have my mini projector mounted on my ceiling for a while now. I just have to get going with this myself.

Thanks Diana. Is there any reason you wanted this model of the Epson or any of the models around 475wi and up are good?
@eloiseezra51942 ай бұрын
I looked through the Projectors for Sewing page on FB and this was one of the recommended and a guy was selling them on EBay (also recommended on the group) so it was a cheaper option for me ♥️

I’m still new to sewing but have you made any fitting adjustments on this? Don’t know if FBA or other changes are challenging. Thanks for the tutorial & many happy sewing days ahead. 💐🎉
@eloiseezra51949 ай бұрын
I am hoping to do some videos on how I would do adjustments but I would actually trace out the pattern area that I want to adjust depending on the adjustment and then do it on paper. I added length to a pattern and was able to do it without tracing the pattern. also grading can be done by keeping multiple layers selected on the pattern. I will have to do a video on it ❤️
@gerriebell21282 ай бұрын
It would still save time to project all the pieces on fabric but trace the front bodice on paper then do the FBA. And then cut the front bodice from fabric using that one paper pattern piece.

Diana how are you able to print the layers in adobe on a Mac I could not figure it out for the life of me. I know now with the projector you won’t need to print but I’m still intimidated I also bought a ceiling mount now to mentally say I wasted my money and buy a table mount is my next project.

hi, on the new adobe the menu is on the right. It looks like two pieces of paper stacked on top of each other. you hit that and the lanes menu appears ❤️ I hope this helps!
