Great video!!! Learned some new ways and information with your video..never knew the full difference between zippers and didn’t think of using the 1/8 “ tape in this way . Great idea for Christmas or craft fair. Thanks again and I always enjoy your teaching.

Thank you, this was a fun and quick sew. One change I made: if I'm using thread that doesn't match the zipper, when I sewed the zipper to main panel, I used a basting stitch at 1/8" so it was firmly attached but not at the final 1/4" seam allowance. No matter how hard I try, because this is a small project, I can never match up the 1/4" seam allowance when I attach the lining. Even when I try and follow the main panel stitch line. Instead of getting frustrated, I just baste main panel first, then I actually mark 1/4" seam guide on my lining and use that as my final. Otherwise I kept seeing that first seam line, drove me nuts lol. Thanks for all of your videos. You're very kind for sharing your knowledge.

Very nice machine. It and you do nice neat work. My machine doesn't sew more than maybe 3 layers and it doesn't stitch adjust either. It always gets jammed up it I try to do anything other than regular sewing two pieces together. Its nice to have these new machines that do all these lovely projects. I tried a walking foot but there isn;t enough space to put any bulk under it.

Thanks for the tutorial Rosie. I learned a lot. Can I ask why you don't baste the outer material and liner together before sewing the zipper on?

Do you know what other uses that ruler could do?I think that description of how to put the zipper pull on was awesome. I can’t wait to try it.

I typically do not buy rulers, but K think t his one is very useful with countless applications. You certainly can accomplish the same thing by printing out a circle, but the ruler gives you the added benefit of using a rotary cutter. Thanks for watching!

I really like this project. Where do you get the 1/8th inch basting tape? That would definitely be helpful. Thanks for the tutorial.

You need a quilting square instead of measuring and cutting from your mat
