We owned that orange vinyl sofa! It was given to us as a wedding gift in 1977, and it was well loved by then, no telling its age. We sold it in 1985 for 300. Such a kick to see it.😄

You are right, you can never have enough sets of dishes. Unfortunately, I'm running out of places to hide my obsession with dishes! I agree that you really don't need to register for china -- used sets have a soul, a history. It's sad that it takes us a lifetime to figure that out! Your videos are very inspiring! That place would be too tempting if it was in my neighborhood -- so many treasures!!!

Have been rewatching your first on air efforts in reruns as a Covid distraction. As fun and educational as they were (are), your design style and camera presentation have grown so much. That only happened because you worked hard. Sarah GREAT JOB of going into that wonderful consignment store (that I wish was near me in TX) without your masks before the store opened when it wasn't full of other customers/staff not wearing masks! Thank you for making that clear at the beginning of the video!!! The prices on the glassware and "knick knacks"at that shop are exactly what I look for in a thrift or consignment store - mega affordability!!! Also. thank you Sarah for hurting my feelings and messing me up by showing their great chinaware and tea sets! I gasped out loud when the camera landed on them! That was my Kyrptonite. I would have lost my mind there... LOL!

The RCA dog... A home is not a home with out a rescue. 🐶 You missed out on a great opportunity. Will you consider sharing what type of material you would suggest on reupholstering these vintage finds you show us? That advice would be EXTREMELY valuable to me. ESPECIALLY on that sectional. Those huge mega-real estate seat cushions could go wonky so easily. What does SR experience make you lean toward? Tweed? Is there a better weight of material to consider the bigger the seat? PS. Love the adorable new do!

Weird. Re: the crystal/glassware and dishware, I've found that people are becoming more and more casual thru the years. I see the "fancy" stuff on resale everywhere, gathering dust. :-( In my own family, whereas my great grandmothers/grandmothers used extremely thin, delicate crystal goblets and dishware routinely, my mother used them for special occasions only, whereas my sister and I don't want anything to do with them! She and I both use very bottom-line dishes that can be used in oven, fridge and microwave. Most of my own "daily use" stuff is _plastic!_ It's really sad that we don't seem to use the "good stuff" any more. BTW, LOVED that huge funky orange sofa thing!

I have donated many sets of chinaware and love to think that they found new appreciation in others’ homes. I now have single pieces of the chinaware that I love, so I set a mismatched table and display them. I love the same colors, so it is harmonious and always a fun conversation starter. I also have a big collection of avocado green glass in single pieces, so I set them the same way. The green may not be everybody’s choice, but it is my favorite color. Colored tumblers and iced tea glasses from the 60s and 70s are still really affordable, often found at thrift stores. Sarah, I love this series!
