I enjoy seeing you going through your skate collection!

I have so many skates 😂😂😂 I need to downsize my collection a bit but I want to do some more videos like this to "catalog" them before I do.

i had the k2 green/tan ones. i mostly skateboarded, and still do, but i had a pair i got secondhand to mess around with probably late '90s

K2 was one of the most popular skate brands in the late 90s by far! Back then a lot of people would both rollerblade and skateboard. Modern skates are just a completely different experience now 😂

From someone who all I ever skated was k2 ,stop skating for 9 years and got a pair of varsity’s getting back into it I totally agree with everything you said! The best thing I did was try other brands. The first being usd carbon free’s and my first thought was why haven’t I done this sooner 😂

I completely understand man! The whole reason I have a k2 collection is because I wanted comfortable skates when I came back and just couldn't get use to the skates that were out at the time. I kept trying things and buying skates until I found what my feet like!

Funny you mention bladers back then skating K2. A dude who has done some of the cheesy feet edits, Chris Burns... he was a K2 monster hitting massive everything in early 2000s in em. In a cast and all. He is one of the reasons it was easy to stop blading for a bit. He was incredible.

Anyone who could do stair rails and down ledges in these skates was legendary in my book. Haha. I remember getting new pairs and having to just rub the groove on a rough ledge until it "broke in" enough for me to do royales. 😅😅😅

@@THEBLADINGCODE I have to agree with you. Literally you're one of the dudes back then skating these when I started on Rollerblade Box car then tried these when they came out and couldn't stand up in them. I fell trying twice. I think I've finally gotten a grind in them like 5-7 years back on a friend's and unlike yours I looked like Bambi on ice. I love/loved the look of the K2 skates the good ones, 250 and such Bing air, fatty, varsity are okay... just could never skate em. I ain't mad that they don't really do aggressive. I do miss the VW that would come with K2 skis, or Snowboard (look it up if you're not familiar) Imagine if Volkswagen on an R model in the near future had a NEW K2 aggro packaged with it, as a NEW K2/Volkswagen. Instead of roof racks... removable Thule grind rails. 💪 I need to hush before my idea becomes realer, than Sara Lee meat in hot pockets.

Dang I haven’t seen a pair of k2 skates since I was a kid lol I had the kids k2 aggressive skates in like 2000 with the adjustable toe so as your foot grew you didn’t have buy new skates I loved them.
@THEBLADINGCODE Жыл бұрын
One of my best friends had the adjustable kids skates. K2 fatty Jr's. They also made an adjustable version of this skate called the mini enemy's!

What Size? I love k2s, they are backside monsters and lots of awesome skaters who were also backside monsters Pat Lennen and Louie Zamora cone to mind

Sorry for the late late late response! haha. I'm just seeing this comment. These skates are a size 8 US. Pat Lennen and Louie Zamora were legendary! I could definitely see backslides working well in the skates after the frames have been grooved in a bit. The boot is really flexy, so it's easy to lean over. My older ankles just don't like how FAR I had to flex over to get boot down haha.

0:05 Keep it a buck you blasted one of your legs and couldnt be fussed with to play around with other boots in the quiver besides the main. 😂 I'm kidding but low key though. I had a decent spill almost a month ago. I split a shell as I mentioned shima 1. Skate was only like 8 years old at maybe 10 at the time... I rode the liners flat.

My leg injury did put me down for almost a month 😅 I'd say I'm just now feeling back %100, but I'm rocking shin gaurds now to prevent knocking myself loose again. Haha. Yeah, over time even if skates are maintained and stored correctly, the plastic will become brittle. It's just safer to use modern skates.

Hahahahaha! Best description of the worst skate ever!
@THEBLADINGCODE Жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say "worst", but they don't hold up against modern skates. 🤣
