Kasauli is beautiful. I had been there long ago, when it was a quiet hill station where commercial construction was not allowed. I don't know about today. Nevertheless, the Himalayan views are stunning as ever. I just wish that "some" members of this group had quelled their loud voices while in these peaceful environs. I feel strongly about the mountains, and about noise in general. They are not just weekend getaways for city people or ramps for parading one's winter wear; they contain mysteries to be reverently absorbed. पहाड़ों को समझने वालो को पहाड़ों के पीछे वाली दुनिया भी दिखने लगती है ! One more thing: mountains ARE for walking. Motorised transport came later. Natives of these places used to trek up and down a mountain every day in the normal course of their work. Get used to it, and you will start loving it! 😊*helpful tip : Read Ruskin Bond's books!*
