Let's Take a Look at the Brushroll on Our 1997 Hitachi CV-780DC Upright Vacuum Cleaner!

We always knew that this Hitachi required some work; however I am rather disappointed in the general state of the cleaner.

I would say its a to look at only machine, and it ain't much to look at.

It's really up to yourself but would it be better to have 1 working system? You never know which of them may pop up again.

A difficult call to make. We think to cosmetically improve the green model but make no repairs as it is effectively a scrapper. Pretty in green to look at but not use. We'd keep an eye out for a better example, there will be one out there. Supposing your grey model is in better shape you can get a fix of Hitachi upright action from that if you have an inkling of hankering. We aren't collectors, just enthusiastic users and owners. For us they are easy come and easy go. We tend to choose by head whereas we think a collector may need to go with their heart for their own satisfaction & sanity. ❤❤

i would be reluctant to scrap a half decent machine but it would be nice to restore the green vac. I like a 90s green, back in the day when you could buy a matching toaster kettle, tea coffee and sugar pots and table mats and coasters all to match from argos.

It's a good idea to take the parts from the other Steve- then you make the green dc look and perform good.

You can try putting the good gray parts onto the green one
