Here in Florida we've got Luis Miguel, a Florida House candidate, who proposed legalizing the shooting and murder of all federal officers in Florida, and Martin Hyde, another Florida House candidate, who said he would just shoot federal agents if they ever came to his home... and nothing's happened to them, except for Miguel getting a Twitter ban. Meanwhile, we're arresting 10-year-olds in Lee County and 18-year-olds in Hillsborough County who do the exact same thing and just verbally threaten to shoot people. Must be nice to be a politician, with that special golden parachute....

Is anyone else wondering about the Janurary 6 Select Committee starting back up again very soon? I know none of that committee spend all this time on vacation. The Committee, and DOJ are working hand in glove! THAT'S how it should work. I'm in Knoxville, & know that the stink on this guy goes waaayyy back. Casada resigned just months into his role as House Speaker in 2019 amid scandal that also involved Cothran. Even this Phoenix business has been brewing since a raid was conducted back in January 2021. Give them points for creativity; at least it's not the usual sexist, racist, homophobic crap this time (see Casada 2019 for that stuff).

Agreed! I hope the prosecution doesn't just let them resign in exchange for dropping the charges. It's so frustrating when politicians use resignation as a "Get Out of Jail Free" card. Losing a cushy position is *not* the same as going to jail and having a record. Politicians should be held to a higher standard, not given a free pass to do whatever they want.
