I'm so glad you started this channel, Rosa, because it got me to do the Goodreads challenge last year (2022) and I'm doing it again this year. I've read more books in the past year than I have in the past 10 combined, you've helped me get back into reading and I am so grateful for that! I'm much older than you, 55, and life just got in the way of reading but I managed to find time now to read! THIS year I'm already done with 9 books! I mean you read more than that in a month but for me? That's amazing! I've read 2 books so far this month alone! I'm just so happy to be enjoying books again and you're the main reason for that! Plus you introduced me to A LOT of new authors I'd never have tried if you hadn't talked them up so much! lol Now I don't agree with everything you like, I have DNF'd Throne of Glass series because even half way through book 3, I hate those characters and want them all to not exist. lol I don't know why. Maybe in a year or two I'll come back to it but for now, I can't. ACOTAR and CC are 2 of my very favourite series that I've ever read though and I'd never have discovered them if it were for you so....THANK YOU for this channel! Xx

@LibbyHardel I love hearing this! Thx for sharing w the community. I wish I found Rosa in 2022, like u did. But am so happy I’ve found her at the beginning of this year. I’m 43yo. I love Rosa’s style. She can easily laugh at herself & is extremely personable to those of all ages, it seems, while still sticking to books. I’ve found that I can’t vibe with some other Booktubers, when they’re way younger…not judging, just a diff vibe and personality in age. But Miss Rosa is the bomb! And she’s not w come to read more, as well as branch out to diff books, esp fantasy. Thank you, Rosa! And thank you, @LibbyHardel., I’m so glad that ur reading flame has been reignited!

@@louc313 I think I vibe with her because she's my son's age, just a year older. But yeah, to everything you said, and you're welcome! I'm glad you found this channel too!

I've been putting off reading Obsidio because I'm loving the series and I don't want it to end or to let me down.

If you haven’t seen the watchman movie I highly recommend it. I’ve read the graphic novel and I think the movie actors do a really good job of bringing the characters to life.

I’ve seen it ages ago 😄

Rosa you have to help me!! Did you read the Raven cycle books, are they good? Because the fairyloot special edition is coming and it is gorgeous but I didn't read the books and there are so many mixed reviews😖 so I am not sure if I want to buy or not! You feel my struggle?🤯
@ImRosaYT Жыл бұрын
I haven't read them yet, so I can't help you, I'm afraid! 😅

I just want to share my experience with that series. I loved them when I was a teenager. As in I devoured the series in less than a month. But as I am rereading the first book now, I'm just not as hooked. I don't know if it is the age difference or maybe I just needed to get past the first book as I remember how I enjoyed the next books in this series more.

I love Marvel but dark superhero things is The Shit. I also love The Boys and even the new Batman was pretty cool because it had all of this darkness

In my opinion, YA tends to be a lot better than Adult books, because you have the chance to be more creative with the characters and the plot; not every page has to have love affairs or addictions, just have a story that makes you want to explore the world you're reading.
@ImRosaYT Жыл бұрын
in my experience, there actually tends to often be romance included in YA 😄 I've read many adult books that didn't include either addictions or love affairs and plenty of creative characters!

@@ImRosaYT True, but sadly they tend to get overshadowed by a lot of the more raunchier books. If you haven't tried this yet, you might like to give Terry Pratchett's Discworld books a go. They mostly focus on fantasy mixed with comedy, and can really make you think about life and how we percieve it.

I’m only 87 pages into For the Wolf but not loving it do you think I should DNF? I’ve been thinking about it. On a different note the word you were looking for was “nod” to Romeo and Juliet
@ImRosaYT Жыл бұрын
Yes, nod 😂😂 Also, IMO For the Wolf didn’t get better, it was too long-drawn for me and I just didn’t feel like spending the time in it to possibly get to a point where the plot or the romance got good, sooo 😅
