Hi Paula, You put a hula hoop on the ground and then have a staff member stand in it. Their job is to keep dogs out of the hula hoop without touching them (keep arms behind your back), talking to them (have to be totally silent). All the staff member is allowed to do is shuffle forward, backward, left or right. It's a way to use body blocking to move dogs without intimidating them or scaring them. Most people can do this with some practice.
