An AA degree isn't "just an associates" it IS an advanced degree. Be proud of that accomplishment. And! It was what you needed to get a really cool job that put you on the path to be able to do really amazing and unique quilting. I love her attitude!
@ccchill61296 ай бұрын
AA degrees are much more focused on the information you want to learn! Bachelors make you take all this other stuff that is irrelevant, ie a science major shouldn’t have to take English literature.

Karen and Karlee, what an AWESOME video!!! 🤩💯😍🎶 🙏🏻Thank you so very much!🙏🏻 Now in my 70’s, I have so much left that I want to do - - especially quilting! I can design and piece just about anything I want, but I’m still stuck at Basic Level 1 in my quilting dream (straight stitching and echo-ing). Karlee, I have admired and L❤️VED your musical quilt since I first saw it (2012 or soon thereafter). Maybe it’s not too late for me to learn from your books!! 😊 And as you say, Karen, “Just Get It Done!”😅 🙏🏻God bless you both! 🙏🏻

OMGGGGGGG!! I discovered Karlee 10 years ago in 2014 when she only had 2 videos on KZbin! I was DYING for more content and have followed her journey since. She's one of my favourite sewlebrities! I've watched every interview she's done and this was by far my favourite. So in depth, detailed and even educational. I've wanted her books since they came out, wanted to sign up for courses since they started, and wanted to start designing full cloth graphics since before Honest Fabrics was born, but life challenges & obstacles kept getting in my way. I love her attitude, intelligence, ethics, energy and positivity. She's just absolutely a gorgeous human inside, outside and skill wise in the art she creates. I'm trying to get back into quilting after a 5 year stint of not touching any of my machines, and I NEED this book! I think that must be a sign. Might as well sign up for the course this fall! ❤😂🥰 Thank you so much for doing this interview Karen! You're also one of my favourite sewlebritites for many of the same reasons, and I regularly suggest your KZbin channel to new quilters on Reddit 🥰

You did it again -- knocked it out of the park with this guest! I've seen her classes advertised and thought "just another FMQ class" ... I was wrong! So glad to hear this interview and so very proud of her success in pursuing her passion (and I don't even know her)! I was perusing the Honest Fabric sight while watching this video; just seeing the fabric already gives me the peace of mind to quilt with freedom and experimentation without worrying about messing up a quilt I have spent hours piecing. Whole cloth quilting is intimidating; it's like sitting down to write a novel and staring at that first sheet of blank paper, but love the options on the Honest Fabric site! Thanks again, Karen, and congrats on 402K! Heading back to Karly's site to purchase her new book!

I am only 1 year into quilting, so I'm a newbie. My first exposure to Karlee was when she modelled her quilted coat (for a YT video) at QuiltCon24 with a fierceness I have never before witnessed (I believe it was MAC's video). I thought to myself, "That girl's got some serious spunk!" I really like her! :o) I saw her show up on several other people's QuiltCon Video's as well. It's really nice to learn more about her. What an incredible journey she is on, she has come so very far; and in some respects she is only just beginning! I also feel like I have found my tribe in quilting. I love her positive attitude and spirit, especially when it comes to rule-breaking and the dreaded "Quilting Police!" Go Karlee! If you read this, I think it would be great if you could venture into panels or patterns for quilted clothing or "Quilt Couture" pieces!
