This is what the 100th time that a man has ever lost a throne and or been banished. And then we get the exact same situation where they found out later that it was a really bad idea and then we start again. It’s just very weird that anyone would think Namor would be doing anything to benefit Wakanda. This’ll definitely come and bite them in the ass later. And I definitely agree with you. Would be wonderful if with each new writer that there was some consistency with stories going forward, a lot of stories just seem to ignore what the previous run did and just throw off any sense of continuity

Simply haven't found any satisfaction in BP comics since Priest. He did a decent deconstruction arc if you have to have one. But so far BP and Wakanda are impressive on very old achievements. A little like how Blue Marvel played the same way. Ultimately Marvel and other major publishers aren't really doing right by certain IPs.

It would be cool to actually have a BP series focused on his War Dogs and their military exploits/black ops. It would be great to have T'Challa playing the role of a political figure (out of costume) and travelling the continent of Africa and/or the world to speak with other world leaders about politics while at the same time making strategic plans and giving orders to his War Dogs about how to proceed with various missions. That calculative T'Challa is what I would like to see and then on occasion, he appears in costume and lends a hand, but it should be handled primarily by his War Dogs. And I said this before, but I really think there should be a story arc concerning Wakanda and Symkaria. How there has never been any interaction between T'Challa and Silver sable all this time, is beyond me. I think a story or two between those two nations and their respective leaders could lead to so many cool events transpiring.

Gotta disagree Ernie. People don’t hate seeing their favorite character deconstructed. Done well it makes for excellent stories. They hate when it’s done HORRIBLY like in this run. Especially when Ta-Nehisi Coates ALREADY did it just a few years ago. This is one of the worst runs for any popular character. John Ridley has done horrible fucking job. Glad it’s done in 15 and not dragged out any longer. Hopefully the next run is better and I love that in the upcoming Avengers run T’Challa is in, Namor and Steve are out. Maybe T’Challa will get some respect there.

This overall run of Black Panther was... cringey at worst and run of the mill at best. I have no issues with characters being broken down to bare bones or going through drastically dramatic narratives... it's just seems too heavy on the "Black Panther is no longer king" and "T'Challa is losing badly" that it seems almost like the writer outright doesn't like the character. From a storytelling standpoint it has interesting elements but I think the way in which Tchalla has been portrayed recently and the status shake up in Wakanda is leaving most people more annoyed. I haven't read that Black Panther no fear run, but just from the premise, that sounds like a huge step down in T'Challa's position in the Marvel Universe. Being reduced from the role of a king to a local neighborhood crimefighter, sounds like a huge insult imo. The fact DD even has T'Challa's phone# and would call him out of literally ANYONE in the MCU...it's like bruh...This man skipped over every street level hero available in NY, skipped over the heavy hitter heroes who actually LIVE in NY (practically every Avenger), skipped the entire ocean to ask the King of an African nation to come fight in his place. A KING bruh. Even if T'Challa wasn't king anymore (lets say for argument sake), this dude still has so much responsibility and issues to handle within Wakanda. I don't think people understand what and how BIG an actual country is. This man don't got no time to be in NY, which is literally FLOODED with heroes. If anything, T'Challa should be offering DD a job to come to Wakanda and help him deal with his own issues. You don't call a king to do something. A King calls YOU, ol' goofy ass! Trials and tribulations make good characters great. But a big NO for me as far as BP doing ANYTHING in NY. There is absolutely NOTHING valuable about Hell's Kitchen for a former King to worry about. Africa is one of the largest continents, even in this fictional universe, why not have T'Challa have adventures across it, the storytelling, world building, and new character creation opportunities would be boundless!

And yes I'm all for regaining his intelligence becoming smarter than the top smartest ppl in marvel, I would also love to deal with the intergalactic wakanda politics and wouldn't mind it being much better thn prime wakanda. Also I believe it's time for T'Challa ro upgrade to a new look, kinda tired of his standard all black with no details on it. Wouldn't mind something that's based off of afro futurist with some neon lights as a cape. Last but not least I would want T'Challa to do something that most if not all black heroes with political power has ever done, bring up the black community. Black Panther, Falcon, & Luke Cage. The holy trinity of Black superheroes yet none get any real respect from Marvel or its assorted writers. Sam Wilson had to become Cap Falcon, and I believe we'll never get a quality Cage book unless it's a alternate reality 70s comic (drawn by Alex Maalev, hint, hint). Cage as mayor just doesn't work for me. The last comic I enjoyed him in was Mighty Avengers. I also think marvel is determined to give T'Challa the Cap Mar Vel treatment in comics as well as MCU.... and that would be their biggest mistake yet.

Cage being mayor could be good if he tackle the issues of the city and help poc thrive, but I don't think marvel wants to do that bc it's too political for blk ppl (but not for mutants) I feel like Falcon doesn't really belong in this trilogy if anything it should be storm, granted she has done a lot for the mutants but she suffers bring in the background a lot. BP has done a lot but has always been getting played by some writers

No offense to Luke, but Sam as a mayor makes more sense. As for his part in the trinity, he only gets dismissed for lack of solo content. Panther would've remained in point had he not had the Storm relationship added to his history as well as the entire Priest run of his book. Sam was never allowed to flourish as much as Falcon as he is as Cap. His last Falcon book gave his a horrible costume as well as story. Cage as a leader works but he also needs to be fighting in the trenches. I don't think him as mayor would realistically allow for that. As fas as black mutants go, the black part tends to get lost on then unless they're fighting for Wakanda.

Such as ppl judging him as a black man running a city and him being a black cap (yt ppl judging him) and black ppl expecting him to not screw it up putting a lot of pressure on his plate, while still trying to balance his super hero life. As for the storm part that was her fault not his, she choose the mutants over her husband and ppl she choose to stay with and watch over. And till this day I hate that fans including the writers never let storm suffer from her bad decisions or call her own, tho at the end T'Challa was right not to trust the mutants seeing as they make terrible decisions and lack of judgment on who they work with (namor, Magneto, sinister, Apocalypse, Charles, Beast, ect) As for BP (especially) priest run some parts was a hit and miss especially the whole Wakanda being taken from the originators, even though they were the ones who enslave black ppl (wakandians) and their anger towards them should've been directed at their gods, though pls correct me if I'm wrong on that. But that doesn't come close to JR aka Uncle Ruckus aka Mr. Coon. Though one thing I always had an issue with Sam is his abilities as a captain america, he's just a cap that can fly and communicate to birds. I feel like he needs to get rid of that ability and focus on tech to add to his fighting style.

Either way with him not being Cap as they totally changed his persona from local hero social worker to international symbol for the Cap stuff. If you go back far enough, he actually tried running for president if I remember correctly. On the mutant front, I've found that marvel tends to write mutants as only being concerned with being mutants which isn't realistic. We're expected to believe that a panther party member and a klan member would be ok as long as they've both mutants? I think not!

Well, I understand why they wouldn't do that because that's unrealistic even for a fictional piece of work. The continent of Africa, as you know, is very diverse with people full of different beliefs, rich cultures and various distinct views and opinions. 54 different countries whom, even in the real world, do not ALL get along with one another and therefore cannot be expected to get along in a fictional one, especially in a world full of heroes, gods, aliens and other supernatural/scientific wonders, etc. If anything, the division would be even greater than what it currently is right now imo. Also, let's not forget that most of these countries are under constant corrupt leadership and they would most likely hold an antagonistic relationship with Wakanda (though not all of them) for a number of reasons: jealousy of Wakanda's power, wealth and resources; fear of being conquered; disbelief and unwillingness to believe and worship their feline goddess; distrust due to past relations, etc. Not to mention, we'd have to take a deeper look into Wakanda's history and its previous kings and their tenures. I'd wager that they did a WHOLE LOT of messed up stuff to not only gain power, but also to keep it. I'm sure most people in this day and age who know even an ounce about politics are aware that there is a lot of dark, shady things that happen behind the scenes in order for a country to maintain its dominance over others. Wakanda would be no different and if T'Challa were to agree to have a real sit down with these other African countries about all the shady stuff he and the monarchs before him have done to them to achieve and maintain his country's position, the world would be shocked and view Wakanda very differently. That would give the whole "Wakanda Forever!" a whole new controversial look.

This whole run SUCKS and we will never like this comic.. have you ever read BP? The characterization was horrible... Just one example, when Tchalla assembles his team and they are going to confront Jhai and the Avengers show up Tchalla is completley surprised... when does Tchalla not plan for the unexpected? Bad writing....also hes a galactic emperor. How can he be exhiled?
