How come my broker (Interactive Brokers) spikes my limit price 1 to 1.5 pips down? When I buy it spikes up. I see it spike down and up away from ask and bid price and the spike disappears from the trading screen. My profit target is further away after buying and My P&L drops 15 dollars after selling. This happens all the time . This is even a simulator. Is this build into their platform to create artificial spread? Or are they simulating slippage. Worried they would do that in live trades as well. They sometimes prevent my shares from being sold when I am up in trade. They sometimes prevent me from buying when it is about to pop in my direction. Seems like it is build in their algo to steal money.

Hey Erienne Crete, I have a problem figuring out how to utilize my leverage...I currently have it at 50:1 but for some reason I am only allowed to trade as if my account had a 1:1 leverage. This has been a big problem for me for months as I cannot find my answer. It is making me deposit big funds into my account to be able to trade with big funds with high risk.

I prefer FXCM charts because they show gaps. Oanda only shows candlesticks even when there's a gap. It's a bit weird...

О, уже год прошёл. Интересно как Ты - и как у Тебя дела? Если торгуешь есть ли проблемы? Но, Лёха - думай так, эти брокеры - они там - где РОССИЮ ненавидят, и прикидывай могут быть проблемы или нет? Несколько лет назад - один наш РУССКИЙ - дал описание - FXCM - они были в Нью Йорке - у меня у самого были подозрения - ЧТО-ТО ТУТ НЕ ТАК! С этим FXCM - как не делаю покупку или продажу - всё уходит - и вот наш парень он описал, что с ним было и этим - FXCM - у него на счету с ними было - точно не помню - 10 или 50 тыщ. Он сделал на торгах - попробовал снять И НИЧЕГО НЕ ВЫШЛО - они его НАГРЕЛИ. Я ПОНИМАЮ он мог сплоховать если решил сразу снять всю сумму - он был зол на эту кантору: и он перешёл на какую-то швейцарскую - названия не помню, давно было. Так вот Лёха, сам прикидывай - они у них в стране, в Британии или в сЕщЕа - а ТЫ в РОССИИ. Понимаешь? И ТЫ высудить ничего не сможешь. А эту - FXCM - ВЫКИНУЛИ из сЕщЕа - потому, что оказалось как я и думал - они НАДУВАЛИ клиентов. И теперь они в ландоне - и въезд им в сЕщЕа - запрещён без срочно. Как по мне - я бы держал - сумму на счету ОАНДЫ - в пределах такой суммы - с которой мог бы спокойно играть и не потерять в тоже самое время - как по мне, в пределах 2 тыщ. И как - только я сделал бы - 500-1000, сверх этих 2 тыщ - я бы по частям снимал потихоньку в пределах 300-200 доларов. И проверь сам - они говорят по РУССКИ - значит - может быть - у них может быть офис в РОССИИ, что было бы конечно не плохо. Если есть офис в РОССИИ - то они должны быть заинтересованны если ТЫ делаешь деньги, то и они имеют. Но не связывайся с этой - FXCM. Они падлы имеют - САМУЮ лучшую платформу - но КОЗЛЫ. Так, что Лёха, сам смотри.

The only issue I have with Oanda is that their spread at the end of trading day widens dramatically (to even 20 pips on major pairs) due to low liquidity in the market. A few times this triggered my stoploss which would not have been triggered if the spread did not widen so much. Any similar experience there?

that's your fault. take your trades off if low liquidity is causing you to get stopped out. this happens to everyone on oanda.

I have been thinking of opening an account but I trade lower time frames. Can I trade the 10 min with a small trading account and be ok with getting my orders filled?

Yes you'll probably be filled easily on most pairs but the spread with Oanda isn't ideal for lower time-frame trading. AxiTrader would be a better fit since they have a pro account: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aZ6QmYygZaeGrtk

Stop losses are not guaranteed - I put a stop at £-91.00 but it didn't close out until £-346.30 on Eur/USD. Not ideal in modern times and technology. Good work Etienne - thank you! Del UK

Hi, with oanda, could you tell me if i can withdraw profits, not the deposit amount, back to the source i used to deposit, so if i deposit using debit card, can i withdraw profits back to that same debit card? with XM they would not allow me to do this and the only options i had were skrill, neteller etc and i don't use them. Usually you need to withdraw to the same account with any broker. They do this to prevent fraud. It's a security thing.

Not MT4. TradingView is a platform in itself that you connect to your broker such as Oanda.

Most newbies fail simply because they don't understand how the market works in general or in particular how the market relates to stock or currency pair they entering. If a retail trades doesn't grasp what the market makers are doing and when they are doing it, the greatest strategy in the world will fall. For new traders the markets are like entering an F1 race before you've passed your drivers license test. I am a beginner I never believe I made $30,000 in just 1 week from trading and with the market. an expert financial analysis and he made me learn to read and understand the language of price action. i like oandas advanced charting it slick as can be but theres a few area's there lacking with it that i wish they would change: - be able to create alerts for a particular price level - they got rid of custom time frames which sucks because i like the 3minute chart for example - the sunday gaps just appear as a large bar in the direction of the gap which can be confusing - sometimes latley certain timeframes won't load - you cant save layout groups like trading view, you have to create an entire different profile which isnt a big deal just a hassle..

I have been using Oanda for about 5 years now. I have the same complaints but overall, I think they do a good job. I like the fact that you can trade in nano lots and you can hook directly to Dreamfire52.

I have used Oanda Japan for 2 years now. Trading account connects to bank account. I can make a transfer in day. no fee Their trading platform is look like Tradingview, but can not make multiple list. Few month ago, it can be connected with tradingview. so no need to open Oanda platform any more. No online customer service (or dont work at all)

As a beginner forex trading might seem a bit difficult so it is a good idea to do your own research, learn a trading strategy to help secure trade with and take your decisions to ensure proper trade outcomes,This is my testimony, I have suffered a lot trading with binary strategy and I lost much last 2 years, but when I was introduced to Mr charles strategy I see good difference and his strategy helped me so much from grass to grace and I have made a lot of profits from 30% to 90% you can seek for his help via mail..

No it's not it's oanda is pure market maker This implies the opposite of ECN witch stands for electronic communications networks (ECNs) to give clients direct access to other participants in The markets ECN brokers are non-dealing desk brokers, meaning that they do not pass on order flow to market makers. Instead, they match participants in a trade electronically and pass the orders to liquidity providers

@@ziloo956 Thank you. That's what I expected. My only question now is why do people keep recommending Oanda when this clearly illustrates a conflict of interest due to this broker taking the opposite side of their clients trades and betting against them? With it being in the broker's interest for us to lose, how do we know they are not manipulating their charts and prices against us since they have the ability to make the market we are trading in? I understand that Oanda is apparently supposed to be one of the most regulated brokers but market makers are known for malpractice due to possessing the amount of power that they do over the markets they create. I don't trust them nor do I believe the regulators have that much of a stronghold over these institutions that probably are able to out wit them in the end anyway.

@@jamesphillipsdiggsiii4572 okay first sorry for the late replay but straight to the points some recommend it because it's the only few that accept their country and some just because they heard the name and got stuck with it etienne say's i don't recommend using oanda multiple times in his videos so i say avoid it if you are not from the US i would recommend FP markets or ic markets they are both good ECN Brokers from Australia just stay away from ctrader go with mt5 account or web platform hope this helps

so ive been using oanda demo acct to practice my strategy but each time am trying to set a stop loss i get an error code of "off quotes" and then a message from the broker saying am breaking the FiFO regulations , does any one have an ides on whats that supposed to really mean

I don't know what the circumstances are of that but I've never had issues depositing or withdrawing money with Oanda...as long as you follow the procedures.
