Update: I used the Soul now for many many many sessions. Found out that the kite flys better when B is 2mm longer than A and C 2mm longer than B. In Z I changed 8knot to a normal knot. The kite still turns super fast and it flys faster and the power in the stronger wind is easier to control.

You mean 2cm?

@@user-py1hc4lz1q I guess yes, 2cm. Because 2mm is almost not possible to see :))

I ve many question...now ive a soul V2 15mt i use it only on TT to do oldschool Jump i Weight 63 kg and i practice kite from 2010: -what Is the best size to side at my 15mt soul ..soul 12 or 10 ? - Do you be able to do kiteloop (not mega in Landing from a trick) Better with 10mt or 12mt ? - according to what Is best range of the 10 for a 63 kg ?

Hi Sorry for the late answer. I think 12 and 15 are super close together. I would go for the 10m. Then you will have a "fast" kite. When you are interested in Big Air, go for the Sonic 3. Man I love this Kite. Endless Hangtime and so easy to controll. Kiteloops with the Soul are ok. I tried Megaloops on my 8m Soul and they worked fine. Came in strapless on the Foil, jumped of and made the loop. Had a soft Landing. A Tubekite turns faster. Overhead and landing loops should not be a Problem. I made this with my 15 and 13 a lot.

Good afternoon. Perfect and informative review about soul2. My question is ... how long lines do you use? And what to recommend. Have you also adjusted the mixer to soul2 to be optimal .. both for cutting at speed and for keeping it right in the air in jumps? I have 10 soul2. by how many cm. you would recommend shortening the rear lines. so that the index is optimally adjusted. Sincerely, Andree

Hi I use my 8m Soul on 13m lines and have 4m extension for lighter wind or when I use it in the waves. When I sheet in the bar completely, the back lines are 5 cm shorter and the Kite will have a little back stall. I don’t use the kite for big airs so you have to find the right position by yourself. Cheers, Simon

Nice infos, especially the tip with the pigtails is amazing. I might try that too cause its annoying if those lines get tangeld. But you should double check if you need the knot you talk about last minute. Break load on those lines is highly decreased with a knot.

Hi Changing the pigtails was the the best thing I have done on a flysurfer kite since years. Flew the kite a lot since this video and never ever had any problems again. With the break load you are right. But Flysurfer has a standard knot in the A Line as you can see at 7:45 (can be B or C, not motivated to check the kite in the garage). And these lines has much more strengt than the Z. So I think I wont have problems with this knot.

The Lines there has 600kg breaking load. The knot can reduce it by 40%. So still 360kg. At the Bar you will have max 10 to 15kg. And this on two lines. So I think this knot will never be a problem.

@RiftboardsSwitzerland3 жыл бұрын
