If I were part of Krakoa, I'd be more concerned about intergalactic empires finding out about the Sinister files. I'm sure the Shi'ar and the Kree wouldn't take kindly to bring annihilated, even if it was a different timeline.

The Sinister Files functionally show a plan to destroy the Shi'ar and Kree empires that has a very good chance at succeeding, should Krakoa decide to implement it. That is not a thing that the Shi'ar or Kree are likely to just accept as something that they're perfectly cool with.

That same council also has members that risked their lives countless times for humanity and without so much as a thank you. The Sinister Files reveal that Sinister had those plans made and implemented. Those files reveal everyone was being controlled. Thus again making the issue illogical. If you lack control over you own will you can not be blamed for your actions. And again all this happened in a time line....that doesnt even exist anymore.

Hickman was always bound to leave imo. Marvel was never going to commit to Krakoa, they just wanted to give the illusion of progress. Now they've gotten the attention snd eyes from readers, and are ready to head to the status quo that is the dingy mansion and half the mutant population being dead or constantly on the run.

@popularopinionpod I actually disagree in the specifics. While Hickman knew it would be temporary, he also knew it wouldn't just end once he left marvel. Krakoa wasn't just a storyline, it's entire basis was a rebranding of the x mem concept and storyline. It was literally made to be a sandbox poeple could play with after Hickman left and told his story, because all comic narratives ultimately go that way. Look at any major marvel event and we know that those concepts gave continued to he used even after the original writers left. I think them running out of ideas was expected and par for the course of this industry. What's sad is how they lost ideas and the type of ideas they put stock into. But it's 616 continuity, what can you do? All we can pray is that whatever concepts survive the upcoming Fall of X will remain relevant. Personally, I'd hope Apocalypse remains an ally, as Hickman did great humanizing him.

I’m not sure about Cypher, he’s been playing his own game from the jump and while he was never part of the council he was privy to everything they discuss because of his connection to Krakoa. I always saw it as Doug thought himself the king of the island and just let the council “play” at running things while he made his own moves in the background

Honestly if there was not so much doom and gloom around Krakoa I would be vary excited to see what kind of enterprise Emma and Tony would be launching to get rich again. Tony Stark could sell just about anything when he is not sauced up, and Emma Frost could command legions of people to make anything Tony comes up with... Plus even if Krakoa falls.. The mutants have gate ways into outer space.. they could worse comes to worse just go to AValon or go to Planet Arakka.. Humanity might not miss Mutants right away.. but they would sure as hell welcome them back should the planet get attacked by baddies like the Brood or what not.

This part of the story hinges on the world population having a very intricate grasp of alternated futures… that’s a tall order. However, since Moira’s GROUND HOG DAY power allows her to retain memories of and manipulate timelines with everyone totally understanding the various timelines better than world history… it’s a bit much- but oh well. We all want to see what happens after the fall, will there be a re-set to normal? Will the mutants come back better? Will the mutants all gain healing factors? I’m tuning in tomorrow

My best guess is they either go off earth though a gateway of some kind, or actually get pulled by gate way island and all off to someplace without humanity to peak on them daily... though if the keep doing there mutant hero duties on earth though gateways.. then that also would not surprise me.. If anything it makes sense they bring someone like Tony stark along because the new threats they might face off earth would require someone that spent time doing dedicated explorer work like tony stark has... And it would be vary good for Tony Stark to go on this ride because Tony Stark has not been a vary useful person as of lately because he not been playing up his strengths. I bet it build up Tony a lot to help protect and safe guard 16 million some mutant refugees if they where to go off world and have to build a colony on a alien world like Avalon

I like many others, I am really over this "I hate mutants" story arc. I know its comics, but its extremely over done... I loved krakoa because of the change. Every other team has been though change that stuck around for a while. Avengers base is in a celestial head. FF has been progressively moving forward as well. Most of these other teams have solid foundations which enables better character development. Although I've seen character development here, it seems like its 3 steps forward and 4 steps back. All the time. Enough already. I'm not a big fan of DC. But there meta humans are equivalent to mutants. And while there are individuals/groups that dislike them, this same level of hate is not as prevalent. So it forces writers to come up with dynamic story lines. Some are hits and other are a miss. But why cant we get to that point. At times its just exhausting to read about mutants being hated...it doesnt even seem real that theyve saved the earth so many times but yet are quick to be killed to the point of extinction only to start all over again... If we go back to a mansion, I'll be done with the X books for a while. It is good to see the avengers more involved, although it seem minimal at this point. Other than that, I'm just ready for a lasting change...

I think the other reason why destiny doesn’t have anybody listening to her is also because she has probably lost favor as well. While I’m sure they don’t know EVERYTHING that destiny did, they probably know by now that she knew well enough that some of this would happen and didn’t tell anyone. She just got mystique and herself up out of there and let everything else go to shit until mystique was no longer okay with that. And now thanks to mother righteous making mystique kill her, doubt has been cast on her the same way it was cast on all resurrections. Thanks to mother righteous as well, mystique doesn’t fully trust her to not try to manipulate her. Storm DEFINITELY doesn’t trust her either.

Irene shouldn’t have raised her hand, which might be the mistake. Or was it that there wasn’t enough objections from the council? Would the blinding white nothing, might be pointing more towards the return of the Phoenix, because only Jean has access to the White Hot Room, and can even make changes to the timeline of future events. We may have to look out for Jean Grey and the classified book, alongside G.O.D.S. to see if the whole picture fits into what Destiny has to prepare for.

Ahhh bringing the point of Krakoa, what about Arakko? Wouldn't Arakko be the Yin to the Yan of Krakoa? What were the impact of Arakko when the Uranos decimated the Arakko mutants? While it looks bad, this issue has a saving point for Krakoa/Cypher, along with Rogue & Gambit/Manifold. It's an interesting direction but with superhero community, like the Avengers Unity, it might be promising in the works. Eventually, Orchis forces will fall, and the mutants will slowly emerge back. Gensis is returning, Arakko will be targeted and eventually Krakoa and the humans, which will pit Annihilation versus Orchis. We shall see.

It is to be considered the real them. Hickman called the “anima”, wich is supposed to be considered as their essence, their soul. Wanda herself created an entire pocket dimensions for mutants souls to go, wich Cerebro can backup.

The general idea is that the Old Woman Laura (that came from the Vault) is the original Laura. The one that we’ve been following since she was introduced in the comics. The one that loves Synch and etc. The one that got wrongly resurrected by the five would be a new person, wich would imply that she has a NEW/different soul. But, again, it was not cleared it up by Duggan.
