Thank you so very much, Emily. Great info on the history of Prismas, which I had SOME knowledge. My first purchase of Prismas was in the early-mid 1990s. I had JUST started "secretly" in adult coloring. Bought myself some Dover books, then to "Pat Catans" where SOMEHOW I knew Prismacolors were a good set to have. Back then, the largest set was 120, and you actually used the box. You opened it in such a way, that the rows stood layered! Worked beautifully (until the pencils got shortened and "disappeared" in its row.) Went through several boxes of them until 2014/2015 when I discovered Amazon had books and supplies galore, and discovered Secret Garden and many more books and pencils and MARKERS and gel pens. Oh my. I am NOW 70 and cannot imagine ever tiring of this hobby.

Oh that's awesome Barb! When I was making the video, I was thinking that 2005 me should have bought a bigger set! 😅

Wow. Learned alot about prismas & technique in this lovely vid. Also loved yr motto 'practice makes progress' it's now my new motto to myself. I know practice makes it better but I think 'progress' is perfect way to say it to myself! Ty so much for all you do & post. 💙🦋

New subscriber here - even with all the 'issues' Prismas have I still love them. I did find out directly from Prismacolor a couple of weeks ago when I reached out to them because I noticed a couple colors were no longer available anywhere open stock. Long story short - Lilac and Lavender are discontinued!!!! 😞They had no reasoning for the discontinuation but those two colors are no longer available.

Hi Emily! Beautiful leaf, oddly enough I knew most of what you were saying about the Prismacolor pencils and their beginning, I’m just surprised I remembered it, lol. Very good information.

Emily, I recently found your channel and would love to see you and not your hands and fingers moving erratically - it is very distracting to watch and therefore harder to hear what you are saying. I don’t want to be negative but I really want to enjoy your videos. TFS.
