Let's Talk: I don't think Minecraft Hardcore is for me! (FINALE)

I've come to realise that Minecraft Hardcore isn't for me and while it's sad to see one door close (this series), another door is shortly going to open (Let's Play Minecraft Season 3!) - Minecraft Hardcore really isn't for everyone, likely because of the notion that anything you build, any effort you make on your world, is ultimately for nothing if you die, and once I realised that, I came to the conclusion that I just can't continue. I've always preferred to play on regular survival too, never been huge on hardcore. Do what feels right for you! One of the reasons you are one of the only MC YTers I watch regularly is because you are one of the few who still does regular episodic survival let's plays!

I'm glad you're ending this, not because I wasn't enjoying it, but because you weren't. I agree that Hardcore Mode isn't for everyone and if you're doing content on it, it can very quickly show that you're not enjoying it. I can't wait for the new Season of Let's Play Minecraft and for the new update. Me personally, I died a couple weeks back in a long term Hardcore world, and instead of making a new one, I decided to wait for the new update and start anew in a general survival world - so I can have fun and relax on it. As said before, I'm looking forward to the new Season and I hope you're doing well Python. Thank you for the consistency of your amazing videos :)

Juat woke up from a nasty migraine, so I may not make total sense, lol. I totally get your point. In my survial world Ive died once in about two years, but the idea of losing that is so worrying to me that I play with keep inventory, I couldnt imagine losing my entire world. I have tried HC once. Prepared to build a small flying castle. Went below to see how it looks, no mobs in sight. I'm looking at it and suddenly I hear a hiss. Right in front of me. I did everything right and still failed. No more hardcore for me.

I am still a wee bit bitter about losing a hardcore world a while ago. But I keep coming back to try again. I play in my longtime regular survival world when I want to build things I want to keep as long as a regular world can last. I completely understand!

It's part of growth to try things and figure out if they are for you or not. Things also change, just as our tastes in food, as we mature and get farther along in our lives. If you do decide to end hardcore runs altogether in all formats, including streaming, what other ideas do you have for future streams? Would you consider streaming from your Let's Play world for Season 3? If not, what other worlds would you stream from? Additionally, how often would you post content from any of these? Would it be daily, or just two or three times a week?

Mining/resource gathering streams, and building streams for large builds that could also be in the main episodes as timelapses, are both options!

Likely not for now in terms of UHC. I realised during my vacation that I was only really doing Hardcore content because it's just what's big on YT at the mo... it's not the way I want to do things. Streams will return in the form of the Survival Sundays streams of old, I just can't promise when just yet 😀

Its unfortunate to see the hardcore series go out because this was THE season, but its nice to see youre not burning yourself out by forcing yourself to keep going You could always edit the data a bit (via editing the files or open the world to LAN and change difficulty) and use it as a survival series 👀

As a viewer, I kinda have the same issue as you. I tend to not watch hardcore series for the same reason, everything just vanishes if you die. I think, that "we" build these world's together. So the loss feels kinda same.

Yeah! Python's World started on the extremely old 1.13 snapshots and I made it work so why not! I'll just do what I've always done and back up the world after each episode and prune chunks to explore new content nearby 😀

I understand, if you are not enjoying it. You have to create something that you enjoy. I get that you dont like to feel like you are wasting your time, i guess that's why some of your audience is disappointed, they have invested their time watching this series and the series has now been cancelled. Much like if a tv show you like gets cancelled after you've invested time watching it. However, at least your style of content will continue in series 3 of your regulalr survival world. It just wont have this setting and these builds in that world unless you made a tribute to this world in your survival world somehow. When i subbed to you, i went back and marathon watched all of season 2 and i think season 1 or at least part of it. I invested time in this hardcore world while i waited for season 3. Im not worried about the fresh start, at least you have addressed the end and said why. And we can now look forward to a new season of your main world and the reason i subbed. Sorry for the waffling.

I think hardcore should have an ending point of some sort means just end like other games And it should be a little more harder more harder mobs for example Then it would be fun to actually complete a hardcore world and just not just not waste time for future deletion of your beloved world And btw i just ended my minecraft pe hardcore world cause i was bored 😅

I confess I think the same way. Doesn't take a minute to back up one's Hardcore world, allowing someone to die in a recording, then restore a backup and re-record the episode... But ah well, I just cba with it all anymore. Rather just play the game for the game, just the bog-standard game 😀

Hi Python! I know that some people think hardcore that way that you feel it but let's be truthful HARDCORE IS MADE LIKE THAT YOU DIE YOU LOSE EVERYTHING THAT IS THE FUN. I wish that you take this message seriously and start this Hardcore run again. I have been watching you since you started playing Hermicraft or Whatever is that, I really loved you ravine house that you made on a sever. But I am interested to see you last a good amount of episodes in Hardcore. Please do not stop this run. If you have that feeling of Time is money then converte this into a ultra survival world or something like that where you could not see your health and you don't have Natural Regeneration.
