Good point. He is very different to Ramsdale, who was also excellent for Arsenal. I think Raya's real value is in how he marshalls and organises the defence. He is about prevention, rather than cure. He doesn't stop many shots (not as many as Aaron), but that's because there are fewer shots to stop - down to great defenders and a good relationship between GK and the back line. He bosses the box better than Ramsdale, I think. I hope Ramsdale gets to move to a decent club. He is too good to ride the pine pony. He should be the starter. I wish him well.

This is what I hate about fans. They said referee didin’t do any wrong because they won and are happy. I am on the other hand furious with that decision to not even book Jackson. He could have easily injured Tomyasu. The problem with this referee and VAR doesnt go away just because we won. Refeeee was awful. On another day Chelsea could have scored in first half and maybe won or draw. Still gutted over how pathetic that decision was. Yes, that back-pass was one bad moment (looked like it skewed off his boot). Overall, I think you have to give a bit of credit to Cucurella, though. Saka did have a few jinks and shots in the game, but these were mostly blocked and/or shut down by Cucurella. I can't really take the guy seriously because of his ridiculous hair, but he did a decent job keeping Saka quiet. Props to him on the day - one of Chelsea's better performances in the game.

I think that was more meant as "we're not missing Partey". Jorginho is an excellent player for Arsenal - different to Partey, but no less valuable.

@@xlz4258 Yes, I hear you, and I agree. My point was that, when Partey was not available and we played Jorginho, it was not a huge hole or deficiency in the team. Jorginho has done exceptionally well for Arsenal - even of couple of MOTM turns if I remember rightly. Yes, Partey is better. But Jorginho is no slouch and certainly is not a liability.

I think the high Saka ratings is down to confirmation bias. We _know_ he's good, so we'll find one or two moments to justify a higher rating. To be fair, I think Cucurella played Saka quite well this game. Saka did have a couple of shots, but these were blocked by Cucurella.
