While I understand the diddy dadada situation and I wouldn't blame people for not being interested. I don't mind when it dives into heavy topics I do have a problem when they just act like nothing ever happen or when the grapist doesn't suffer a d die. I watched Heavenly delusion and there is a grape scene that happens to one of the MC and the grapist is someone who the MC looked up to people were mad that not only that the grapist got away but they were mad when the girl told the other MC (who is a boy) to stop/don't kill him. And I'm not trying to excuse it but I can give it a pass as long as the people who assault someone dies or gets mauled. I would find it problematic if they made it graphic and detailed As for double standards it's not surprising if a male commits a crime give that nigga 50yr, if it's a female give her a lighter sentence. It's a case of punching up but you can't punch down You can shit talk about men but not women, you can race swap a white character but not a black character, you can shit talk about rich people but not poor people. Also thank you im black and I never once saw Mr.popo as "black" or problematic it was funny but not racist. If they were to make a character who is black as charcoal these MF would act like a bull in a China shop even though there are people IRL who have Jet black skin. And not trying to be that person but i hope they adapt the storyline of Mark getting assaulted by anissa not for horniness but to show that males do in fact get graped, because males and females look at that and act like it doesn't happen or down play it because he's a male. I wouldn't be surprised if people start memeing on it

As an avid manga reader I agree with your points. No disagreements here, manga fans are really terrible people but why are you letting the fans dictate what you consume. I understand that it can put you off but there are thousands upon thousands of great manga that don't have all that nasty stuff. You can read more than just the battle shonen. Same thing with how you tell people they can read more than just Marvel and DC comics. You're right about a lot of manga having this issue and you're right about manga fans being problematic but when your channel feels like it's on a crusade to crap on manga to prop up what you like instead then it makes me question if you actually give manga a proper chance. Manga is just like any other medium. You'll get the stories that are deep and don't have problematic themes like the ones you stated just like film and TV. The internet is right there for you to use and find them. Right now, I can name you 100 recommendations that fit the bill

I understand that the fans point out that it's a problem in the comic book series.But you have to understand the writers.Don't care both writers from Manga.And comic books or quite perverted to their characters.Look at how they have men sexually assaulted in comic books and don't do anything. Aint your city exact same thing?Unfortunately For young people in anime.

I agree with the overall message, but I don't think Dandandan was a good example. The protrayal of that scene wasn't cosigning the actions taking place. Still you have a point.

@crimsonking7179Ай бұрын
@sloantempest9421 Yes, but there is plenty of fan service in comics. One of my favorite comic book titles is the original Teens Titans run. There were a lot of panels that you would consider fan service. That being said, I get it. It's like you said people always talk about characters who appear young (even when they aren't children and I'm not talking about 1000 year old lady trapped in a childlike body), but they never talk about the nasty stuff in Black butler. Man, I had a big argument about that with my ex.

The main characters were being attcked by the villains. So i dont really see how its a sexual fantasty thing as you making it out to be in this instance. I get the idea but the dandadan situation doesnt work when quite literally they are treared as threat and dangerous. Also, would like to add since you seem to be a dragonball. Master roshi is pribably the most popular perverted character in anime and manga has more sus scenes then a lot of shows you just mentioned. I understand you are a fan of Dragonball, but we need to keep the energy consistent.

@@sloantempest9421 Hey man, regardless, I get how you feel but sincerely in that manga scene those guys are literslly antagonistic forces who need to be stopped and the story does not treat it as a feast for the eyes (ie seductive). I think there is room for mature stories to portay these situation so as long as its not used for fetish /sexual fantasy reasons. Hell the episode with raven getting her clothes torm off by slade was in the teen titans show was scary and a rape allegory. So the west also uses it as a narrative tool but people react differently due to intent and usage of said narrative plot points/ moments. Not truthfully a double standard there otherwise stuff like boku no pico would be running about unchecked to the mainstream audiences.
@requiem9167Ай бұрын
I also think its totally different when it is actually tackling the topic or portraying fear. Like the scene in JoJos where the guy is getting in the bathtub with the kid. It is an intense scary moment and isn’t treated lightly(plus they dont show anything gross it is for suspense). Berserk I also think is good at this(despite being too graphic for my tastes) the reactions to the event are really and palpably negative. You can also talk about the subject/have your characters be victims of bad things without animating it out in such a way that it is almost indulgent. I think Killing Joke does this well, where it is clear Joker did stuff to Barbara, but it wasnt shown directly. Tldr if this content is present it should be: 1. Portrayed as bad 2. Not needlessly shown, it can be intense even with implications and not direct. 3. Isnt being sexualized in a fantasy way.

I'd say heavenly delusion does this well cause spoiler alert when one of the MC (a boy stuck in his sister's body;I'm calling her) was being assaulted by her childhood idol for 2 days and when her friend who is a young boy found out he beat the absolute hell out of the grapist and when the girl managed to free herself she told dude to *Stop/don't kill him* his reaction was complete utter shock just like the audience and they just left the place meanwhile the grapist got away which pissed everyone off including me, the boy promised the next time he sees him he's gonna kill him. Fans are telling others that the story is not over and if he does return hopefully he will die Fans were questioning why she didn't let the boy kill him and mostly because she doesn't want the boy to be a killer or the fact the grapist was her idol. Now fans are genuinely concerned that she might be pregnant

@@requiem9167 ya cause it feels more in lines of how can we make audiences despise this character. And I see 4 sides of the fandom or anime community fans when it comes to Griffith. 1. The villain sympathetizers where they be like "while his actions are reprehensible; I wouldn't blame him, like what??? Lastly you got the down bad ones even saying they'd be in Casscas position 😐

Agree with the premise of the video but some of your points don't follow well. The slade thing is one I don't get. At the end of the day he is a bad guy. I can rationally understand him sleeping with terra especially if he is a grieving father just for pleasure to forget that pain for a second. The only problem would be if the depiction comes across as just porn. Slade being a creep is not something gross on the creator part As for the racist comment that people complain about, idk how much you know of the anime community but the gooners there and some like me who not particularly into the gooning but just accept it as the norm don't actually complain about the racist shit. At best we joke about or laugh about it but thats it I was there during the genshin fiasco and trust me the people that were complaining were the ones who mostly virtue signal on Twitter and talk about porn bad and people like you who are genuinely disgusted by those things In short I'm saying the gooners are consistent in the "it's just fiction bro" at least in relation to that example you used

I gave up on Marvel and DC a year ago, and i started reading other comics and let me tell you, it's perfect! I also left Manga a year ago, but i'm thinking to come back to it. Manga are just Japanese comics, because let's not forget that there are European comics too.
