I welcome character deaths, but with WuWa we still need better interactions with the cast for their deaths to feel warranted.

Same, I personally want Camellya to either die, or for her creator's to activate a sleeper-agent type thing to turn on Rover. I'd be fine with almost any character dying aside from Jihnsi, Shorekeeper, and Xiangli Yao, I think pretty much everyone else could move the story forward with a death.

I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum - I loathe deaths of playable characters. It just kills my immersion big time. And since it's a gacha game, it's not like the characters that die will just disappear from everyone's account. Let's say Changli dies. Well, I still have her in my account, and might even use her while playing through the quest in which she dies. Just no. I feel similarly to "villain" characters. I'd rather have characters that make sense to be allies. Still, some level of immersion breaking needs to be tolerated (Jinhsi is canonically in Jinzhou, yet we use her in Rinascita, after all). But yeah, if playable characters start dying, I'm no longer going to be supporting the game financially, and might even drop it altogether depending on how it gets executed

I believe Calcharo cannot be villain as he has already made his debut in 1.2, offering help to Rover in Xiangli Yao's event, but it would be wonderful 😊

This game story now feels like Solo leveling like how the Sentinels have their own resonators and Threnodians have their own Resonators where In Solo Leveling Rulers have their own Vessel and also the monarchs. This shit Gives me goosebumps.

Personally I'm betting that Rover is gonna just ask Scar for help rather than a prison break, and thats because I'm betting that the leader/founder of the Fracidous, just like the Blackshores, is Rover. Since it seems that Rover is the only one truly pushing for a full resolution to the world's cataclysm and at the center of all the events surrounding these upper level existeexistence. Also Scar seemed be waiting for and convinced Rover would possibly join them, on top of the conduct of the other 2, acting antagonistic not really to Rover(honestly more friendly and helpful) but more to the regions, and theyre not really perturbed by your interference, almost looking forward to it. Anyway that's my prediction for the story long term.

I doubt it, yes Rover is called "Star" by Shorekeeper, and Fractsidus means "Shattered Star" it's safer to assume that the organization is meant to kill Rover or to shatter Rover.

from the pacing and from the devs, i don't think any character will die. what i can think of is an introduction of something like a leap system in pgr where old characters will be upgraded. character will lose a part of their body or almost all, the overclocking will progress and they will achieve second awakening replacing their old body with more frequency. acquiring another i frame and time freeze ability like jinhsi if i remember, sanhua sees everyone as not themselves with exception of rover and jinhsi (sentinel's resonator)

from the priconne 6 star awakening system. i hope we get something similar to that to wuwa essentially, we need to form a party of 3 including the resonator that needs 2nd awakening and we will defeat enemies or bosses (hopefully series of holograms) after defeating them, we will fight the upgraded version of the character as a strong AI and after defeating it, the character will get their 2nd awakening

@@MrBentalton777 Jinhsi is a Sentinel's resonator. So by definition she outclass most of the cast lore wise. Normal resonator might need a special oomph to get to Second Awakening.

I'd really like for this to happen too, we need more spotlight on the male characters. I was kinda disappointed when "leakers" said that 2.2 - 2.4 is going to be full of new female characters. No hate to female characters, but the current male to female character ratio is horrible, please Kuro.

Upcoming anniversary patch is exciting for sure, but right now I just want them to deliver a coherent finished story in 2.1 and 2.2 with couple of cliffhangers at the end regarding fractsidus and rover's past/future + another proper endgame mode.

The way Kuro has protrayed Genshulin he seems to be a “by any means necessary” character and jiyan as a “one for all” character where as calcharo needs to make an appearance and he really needs a much needed buff along with yang yang

I think geshulin is trapped in a kind of purgatory of phantom endless battles (rain falling upwards) w his soldiers dying over and over. I think he is borderline insane bc he is haunted by the suffering his decisions have caused but doesn’t believe there’s any better way to fight. During one of the battles, I think he will be confronted w a huge moral choice to change the way he’s been doing things. To end his madness he makes the right decision and gets set free from the purgatory. This probably isn’t how the story plays out but ur videos sure make it fun to think about what’s coming!

i think if they do the prison break soon it has to be in like 2.4 because that's most likely when we are getting prolova and it'll be a nice transition into 3.0 while feeling like a non filler thing otherwise if it happens in 3.0 it'll either take away from the region or if it happens off screen it'll take away the impact of the prison break

I think that the plan the Fractsidus have is that they are going to have Scar break out, Geshu Lin attacking, AND the Threnodian attacking Rinascita at the same time. Essentially creating a large scale attack where Rover can't be everywhere at once. This is assuming that Geshu Lin is either the Threnodian resonator of Ovathrax, or working with the Fractsidus. From a strategic point of view the best strategy for them to adopt would be Fabian Tactics, basically..... Attack everywhere that Rover isn't (What the Romans did with Hannibal until Scipio.) An overwhelming display of force with two Threnodian Resonator's attacking at once would deifnitely do numbers in terms of stakes without actually raising them all that much. The region Carlotta mentions is Septimont, and based on its name I believe it will be based on the Eternal City itself.... Rome. Why is this, well Septimont would translate to "Seven Mountains" in Latin which is clearly a reference to the Seven Hills that Rome was founded on. Septimont is a location in Rinascita, but also Scarlet Velvet mentions that she is working on a sea route that passes through several nations to get to the mainland without going through the way Rover came to it, so I do think you're right in the New Federation being the next major region. That said, Scar breaking out is probably going to be saved for a specific moment either to distract Rover, or to overwhelm Rover. I think you're right for the most part of what you're laying out on the table for us. As for a character that might die, I think Camellya, Calcharo, Changli, Jiyan, Yuanwu, and Jianxin are the ones who might die. I think Jiyan dying to Geshu Lin would be an exceptional choice from a story-telling point, but I think that Geshu Lin and Jiyan should be in a stalemate with Camellya showing up and betraying them, resulting in Jiyan's death. Camellya was created by an organization meant to hunt down Rover, she might be a sleeper agent, however Camellya resisting it so she doesn't kill her seed of fate and dies as a result would be good as well. Plus, there is a lore reason as to why we can still play a dead character "Oh, they're a recreation of the Tethys System under your command, no where near as strong as they were, they are like an echo." so basically they're dead but still playable even in lore. They could genuinely kill anyone off aside from Rover, Shorekeeper, and Jihnsi with them still being playable in a lore friendly way. And yeah, I didn't even consider the fact that Ovathrax's defeat by Geshu Lin could have been because Geshu Lin had a second awakening, now that'd be an interesting fight. Jihnsi vs Geshu Lin would go crazy animation wise. What I'm hoping for is a 4-star Spectro character because curently we have four dedicated ones and they're all 5-stars (Phoebe, Shorekeeper, Jihnsi, Verina)

I don't see a point in a redeption arc for that bad general. In the end he would need to become Jiyan and we already have Jiyan. I don't think killing off characters for sake of killing of characters makes any story better by defult.

I don't think patch 3.X will align with the anniversary. Version 2.1 launches on February 14th and will last for approximately 45 or 46 days, like every other patch. This means Version 2.2 will likely launch around March 31st or April 1st, 2025, and Version 2.3 will be released in mid-May 2025. From what I'm hearing, there will also be a Version 2.4, which is expected to launch in July. So, the anniversary will definitely fall during Version 2.3, not 3.X. But yes, I’m hopeful that the first anniversary will be really amazing.

yeaaa Geshu-Lin seems to be a pretty popular/hyped up unit, like Brant.. yea im sure we'll get more info as the date gets closer.. 2.1 livestream set for Fri, FEB 6th.. we alrdy got so much news as to 2 new smaller zones within Rinascita, which makes sense; they're going to save their huge zones for another big 'expansion' / 3.0 area.. but Rinascita and the flying within, man, they really nailed the size/scale/feeling of it all... in terms of killing off a character; yes, games shouldnt be too scared to do this! However, have to be careful with how they do it, in terms of, if said character, is actually playable. How would that work? They kill off Carlotta... so WE, the player, can no longer use her? or she just doesnt appear in the main-story anymore? And again, if u kill Carlotta off in the story... yet we're literally standing there, talking to NPC, AS Carlotta/Rover... kinda immersion breaking eh? So yea, its a tricky subject, and why they can pretty much ONLY kill off NPC's or Maybe a 4* like Chixia - 'cause at the end of the day, u can always take the echoes off her and put on someone else.. (however, u also run into the issue of, if shes not playable anymore, players will be upset that they dumped a bunch of resources into her ascensions / skill ups etc)

Number one issue with a resonator specifically dying is that is someone's main character. Also would be immersion breaking if the character dies in an epic cut scene then just for me to run around beating up turtles for level one echoes with said character a minute later😂

Anyways I still hope that Kuro would be bold enough to take a new approach of a mainstory quest where we played as Scar during his prison break, so that way we could experience ourselves as the bad guys fighting the good guys like fighting the midnightranges and Jiyan.... its very unlikely but it would be make Wuwa standout a lot (as a gachagame that breaks the gacha norms) more then they already have... plus a man can dream ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This is EXACTLY the type of content I enjoy - and you're the only one (at least on a fairly regular basis) that's doing it. I agree with your theories... think for 3x the Scar one is more plausible - although (like you) i'd love the Geshu Lin one more. Kill off Jiyan??? that would certainly have an impact - I love both Geshu and Jiyan so it would put my emotions into turmoil. However i'm with you that it would be good for the game - with the added bonus of it being a more adult/darker theme. It'd be great to see Geshu get a redemption arc too. Hope you've passed both these ideas along to Kuro!! Great video - please do more if you have any other thoughts

I want to know who Scar is. Why did he want to go to the lengths to even ask permission to talk to Rover? Why did he risk imprisonment just to talk to Rover? Who is that story he told about? Scar is more than interested in Rover. He seems to want to TRUST her/him. He knows something we don't. There's a respect there as if he is pleading to Rover's sense of fairness. How would he know Rover is fair? As far as Jiyan and Gesu lin. I agree. They do not agree on how to win. If Gesu lin comes back in ANY form the bad blood will rise again. Except...(I'm biased. I mained Jiyan for a lllooonnngggg time and I STILL adore his game play) I think Jiyan is right about caring for his people. Gensu Lin is wrong to begin with; winning isn't all that matters. It's a GREAT foundation for a Nemesis tho. If Gesu Lin can get stronger so can Jiyan...and maybe just maybe caring for people and battling with them puts Jiyan in a place of cultivation to where when his body is pushed to it's limit again...he ascends beyond the hindrance of overclocking....just. like. Rover. You can never get rid of evil. That's true, but a true (imo) redemption story for Gesu Lin is to understand that Jiyan is right. Jiyan dying because he's weaker will prove nothing to someone like Gensu Lin who selfishly puts winning before people's lives. Who's that for? Not Jinzhou. He only understands power.

notice: yapping and theory crafting there's also the possibility that cartethyia is the resonator of both the imperator and the threnodian according to what fenrico said which somehow sounds believable why would cartethyia resonate with the threnodian you might ask? it's possible that the dark tide was too powerful even for cartethyia to handle thus needing more power "isn't the threnodian evil? why would she trust the threnodian?" people seem to forget that the threnodian isn't inherently evil they are described as manifestations of humanity's collective will specifically born from the darker aspects of collective consciousness such as fears and struggles each threnodian embodies a particular fear or struggle like ovathrax the threnodian of war which is tied to a region with a long history of war (jinzhou).

About the prison break. Imo having it after rinascita makes it feel like Frelova used rinascita as a distraction kind of to free Scar. Maybe that is also gonna be the case. But coming back to huanglong and everything is going haywire would be awesome. but we will se what kuro does

I think that Rover needs to have left Nation 1 (bad at spelling but you all know) in order for prison break to happen. It would make a lot of sense, considering rover is [an ancient all powerful being] in light terms. Hopefully that’s how they handle it, as we already continued the plot 😅

I think we will get Mistress Phrolova playable at the end of 2.x She is obviously Threnodian resonator as well, and maybe the most powerfull fracsidus member. And Scar/Geshu Lin some time later, maybe.

I enjoyed this, nice job! I disagree about character deaths and the anniversary lining up, but I hope the story and anniversary will be good. I think HSR kinda proved people don't really want playable characters to die and really dislike it when devs insinuate it but have no intent to do it either. Would be cool in the story, for characters to get pushed to their limit, Overclock and activate their 2nd Awakening to have that be an excuse to turn 4*'s into 5* characters. Scar escapes, tries to kill Jihnsi, Sanhua goes savage Super Saiyan beast mode BAM 5* main DPS Sanhua 🤩😍

If they do kill a character i think i have a good idea of how it could go, be warned i wrote a lot. I think i could be Jiyan. Think about it, in a final battle against a newly apointed threnodian resonater Geshu Lin, Jiyan and the rover battle Geshu, before getting seperated by a massive attack from the threnodian itself. And after rover fighting through hoards of enemies to get back into the fight, jiyan in battle with geshu lin takes a fatal blow, right as the rover is able to see the fight again, but jiyan keeps going, prompting the rover to keep getting closer to the fight, and when rover finaly arives, jiyan, in an act of self sacrifice throws away any self preservation in order to allow himself to land one truly massive blow, hurting and crippleing Geshu Lin enough for rover to defeat him, but killing himself in the procces. Then leading to a beautiful yet sad scene where jiyan is burried in the spot near jinjou with the bell (i forgot what it was called) alongside the other lost veterans, where a character likely the rover wouĺd make a final speech about how they managed to defeat Geshu Lin, a general who would sacrifice the lives of his own comrades for the sake of victory, by the help of jiyan who sacrificed himself, for the sake of his comrades victory. Did i cook?

we don't meet him, in game we hear that he went missing 3-years before our character woke up and that he sacrificed himself to his power to defeat Ovathrax. Although, as Jiyan we do see Geshu Lin during the retroact rain in the war arc so I guess you could say we met him there.

The only known artifical resonator is Camellya and she made that way, we don't have much information about if it's possible to remove someone's forte as that basically means removing their entire brain because their is a connection between forte, brain, body, and resonated frequency. If Scar is Geshu Lin then it'd only be his body as nothing would be left of Geshu Lin.

Im 100% sure we are gonna get another free limited character. Like, we receive a STRONG free limited character just because of feedback way early on at 1.2, a unit that nowadays is still being used very well, and although another limited main dps electro character is soon to come that will be stronger, doesnt mean he wont still be very useful. So considering that, i dont think its farfetch to say we will get a free unit at the aniversary of the game, alongside maybe even 2 other limited units (So its 3 in total). A small fragment of me hope that they would give Scar seeing his popularity and how it might attract many new players, but his popularity may also be a reason why he wouldnt be. Anyways, im sure we will have a blast

I feel like they will do that by simply buffing calcharo kit, cause i think kuro is savinghim up for major stuff in new federation, since we never seen him involved in story quest and companion quest. Also a lot of japanese players have been complaining calcharo’s disappearance and request a buff on him so its a possibility

the problem with killing of character is that you cant continue their story arc if they are dead. most movie got this wrong when they kill off character that havent yet finished their story arc and/or it would be more interesting for the story dynamic if they stay alive. prime examply, Marvel Quick Silver. he die for no good reason, havent finished his story arc if he had any at all, and the story would potentially be more interesting if he stay alive. right now, its too early to kill off any character, since most of their story arc is not complete. if anything, Changli is the one more likely to die, because her story arc is basically finished. she meet Rover as her teacher instructed, she teach Jinshi to be a good leader. her life goal is basically complete. If I think Kuro should kill off anyone, it should be Changli.

If we take leaks into account, I think the anniversary will not coincide with the release of version 3.0, for me, on May 23rd, we will have version 2.4 (for this we need some version between 2.1 and 2.3 to be just one new limited banner and only 21/23 days maximum, probably 2.2 because we only have Cantarella), as said in the leaks, 2.4 will be the banner of Cartethya, so this could be the ''big patch'' they said, again, just my opinion if we take the leaks into account. Jiyan's death makes sense and sounds fire but for me, the concept could be more sense if Jiyan and Geshu were just like Sora and Riku in Kingdom Hearts imo, and the deaths were no longer valid but more of the harmonized bond of bros with the emo-action epic battle and allat

There is already too much comparison between Wuwa and hoyo games.. if they kill one character it will make it similar to honkai impact 3rd.. Jiyan and Himeko from HI3 have some similar personality.. but putting a character into a critical situation and redemption arc will be a good one.. And Geshu Lin is not the most powerful, in the current timeline of Wuwa as we know, yes.. but from history Rover is much more powerful, Rover is the Arbiter of the Sentinels... Rover sealed his/her memories for UNKNOWN reason even Shorekeeper, Lady Flora and the Sentinels don't know or won't say the reason even the remnant data of the former Rover in the Tethys System was deemed as classified for the current Rover.. also not to mention Abby that makes the Threnodian's Power as food source, so we can't say Rover is weak (Storywise)..
