I did the Cherries and Baubles by Sandra Paul last year and it has a few trip ups, but it’s very beautiful and once you learn how to get through or over the trip ups it’s really easy and fun to do. It was my first yarn advent so it will always be a sentimental treasure to me.

Last year I knit the “Cosy mystery shawl” by Tricot&stitch. (Note spelling is Cosy, not cozy) It has 12 beautiful, high contrast textured knit sections. It was a blast to knit, and got a lot of wear. In addition to being a riot of colors, there’s a great back story: the color inspirations were taken from book covers of knitting-themed mystery books! Many written by Maggie Sefton, with crazy titles like “knit fast, dye young” and “silence of the llamas”. So you can knit and listen to cute knitting themed audiobooks!

@ aargh my favourite is BFL! Their skeins always look so scrummy in the pics. Are they as good in real life? I can order from them but it’s just a bit above my budget. Maybe at Christmas….
