I like this pink blush on you. It’s more of a sun kissed, spent the day at the beach and now I’m a little pink glow. I kinda wish you had put a little of the pink blush across your nose for that extra “sunned” look. Like how the eye look turned out almost like a galaxy theme.

I have that issue often. Things that work for imfluencers often don't work for me, even if they say it is good for fair skin. The Essence highlighter is one example. A few years ago, everyone on youtube was saying this was a dupe for the Hourglass finishing powder. Nope! It was so warm and yellow toned and WAY too dark. I am very fair, with strong pink undertones. Even the most pale foundations often won't work because they are too yellow. Undertone is so important. Most of the population has either more yellow or green undertones, so companies cater to them. Luckily, if you hunt, you can find things to suit all skin tones, which is so wonderful! But sometimes, I feel left out. Warm eyeshadow palettes never looked good, so it is nice to see an emergence of truly cool toned palettes. We are also seeing highlighters and luninators in shades besides yellow and orange based colors, but even companies like Charlotte Tilbury puts out products that lean warm and are therefore unflattering on my skin. Bronzer is notoriously hard to find as the only ones that suit my skin are those with a hint of pink or red in the base. One thing I've learned is that if you look at deeper bronzers and powders, sometimes those will have some red in the base. The lightest shade is often NOT the best choice for fair, cool skin. Hoola bronzer was one that everyone loved, but it looked yellow on me. Another example are the gorgeous Milani blushes: all are too warm! I am hoping Milani will bring back some of their cool toned options one day soon. I would buy them all.

@@kam0406 I think it was like 8 years ago that people were recommending the Wet N Wild bronzer in Reserve the Cabana as a dupe for Hourglass finishing powder. Same problem there. And then, a couple years ago, the NYX glow powder. The fair shade was really dark. NYX did that Bare With Me foundation, and the lightest shade was finally actually PINK. It was the first drugstore foundation that actually worked on me. Nice formula, perfect shade match... Then they discontinued it. I sent them an email to ask about some of their weird decisions, lately. Like how the radiant foundation still exists, but they discontinued the radiant concealer. Like how they just released a new concealer under the "Bare With Me" line, but discontinued the foundation like a year ago. Why they keep some lines around, even if there is only one product left (that nobody really likes and is poorly rated), but they'll release new products every couple weeks, and then discontinue them within a year, if they don't instantly go "viral." They replied to me, saying something like, "We're sorry that we've discontinued a foundation that you like. Unfortunately, due to the highly competitive market of cosmetics, we need to try to stay ahead of it. We hope you'll find another foundation you like." They just totally ignored the more important point to reply to the more stupid one. And blamed the market for why they gotta release so much stupid crap, constantly. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Basically, "If you're not viral, you might as well be dead!" Yeah, I'm basically done with NYX. They've been such a disaster, over the past few years.

When it comes to the AC, check that it's still on and wasn't turned off by ERGOT (Texas power company). They are turning off ACs to conserve power. They did this back when we had snow last year and wouldn't turn on power for a lot of people if you remember that news

We are trained to not like water. You have to retrain yourself. Once you start building the habit, you will start craving it. Believe me, I was soda 24/7 until I started forcing myself to drink more water and now my body craves it instead of soda or whatever. Also, I used carbonated water and fruit diffusers to help build the habit.

Love for soda must be an American thing. For me drinking soda was always puzzling - why would I DRINK calories? 🙂 To understand the importance of water I think everyone should read some publications by nephrologists to understand how drinking water can prevent a real disaster for your health.

I was also deciding between medium and light medium for the Mario products. I ended up ordering light medium since it should last more the year with my skin and not just at my skin’s tannest in the height of summer. I think it sheered out nicely on your face though!

I have the Vieve in Dusk, and omg do I need both? Probably not. Like not at all. But I love it. I was worried because dusk felt it may have been TOO deep, but dawn TOO light… we have similar skin tones (I too use Samantha as reference lol) and I feel you can make Dusk deep because it’s buildable.

I have never heard anyone mention it- but doesn’t that palette look A LOT like Angie’s palette with Kaleidos- Club Nebula? Am I the only one who sees it? A lime, turquoise, dark blue, dark teal, dark red, warm purple and cool purple?? It has a lavender instead of a taupe and a cherry red instead of an electric peach. But wow. Not saying anyone ripped off the other or anything. Just that they seem SO SIMILAR and I’m kinda shocked no one’s mentioned it. Even the shimmers seem like translucent toppers like the Club Nebula (tho not nearly as sparkly as Kaleidos formula).

I got excited to see Hauntingly Glamorous because I bought it along with Low Light, the Alien brushes and the satin lip vault for half price a couple of weeks ago. Did you take advantage of the “goodbye” code too? Update: my Unearthly order was already here when I wrote my comment and I am so excited about everything. The satin lipsticks are amazing! They fill in a lot of shade gaps in my Kaleidos lip clay collection and I actually prefer this formula. Thank you so much for turning me on to these excellent indie brands 😘.

I still cannot figure out the point of that finishing powder from Mario. It seems like an unnecessary extra step. We already have foundation, powder, bronzer, etc. Why do I need another colored finishing powder? That said, I'm so happy you enjoy the Hauntingly Glamorous palette! I absolutely love that palette and the Capricorn palette. They always look amazing and I've been able to create so many different looks.

I think he’s releasing products that play well together? But also something for the people that have holy grails? Like you may have a cream bronzer you love more than his, but can set it with his finishing powder for durability. I’m hesitant on the brand only because I have the things I love, and I’m not replacing my NYX Banana Powder with a glitter powder. And I love the ABH cream bronzer… I don’t even have to set it.

I mean, that's why the Hourglass finishing powders exist. Most people won't or can't use it as a setting powder, because that's DEF not what it's made for. But it also just makes your skin look a bit more glowy and radiant, without your face actually being moist or sticky. I do use them for setting under my eyes and cheeks, though.

@@HanasRoom I think the eyeshadows were a stupid idea. I haven't heard a single person talk about them, since. Singles exist, but why would anyone buy them from HOURGLASS? The Vanish Seamless Stick Foundation is really pretty on the skin. I basically only wore it on special occasions, because it was just gorgeous, but I could FEEL IT ON MY SKIN ALL DAY. Nope, can't handle that, most days. Beautiful on the skin, but not worth it. I've been buying a Christmas face palette every few years for like a decade, though. And then decided to just buy the finishing powder separately. None of the dupes I've tried have worked for me, so I keep going back to Hourglass. I have closer to dry skin, so I don't need a lot of setting (if at all), so it works for me. It's just really flattering, and isn't actually a bronzer, on me. The Laura Geller light coverage foundation in Balance & Glow is kind of similar, but it does have a bit of coverage to it. And it's still fairly pricy, but much harder to find. So I'm still looking for possible dupes. Until I find one, though, I'll keep using Hourglass. Drugstore just doesn't make things for super pale people. Hell, Sephora barely does. And most lightest shades in Sephora are super yellow.

@@Acidfunkish Speaking of Laura Geller, a lot of her stuff is at TJ Maxx/Marshall's... AND you can buy it online. It's like buying from Ulta/Sephora things are sticker shut/wrapped... not opened and a gamble like going in person. I liked the Laura Geller baked bronzer for a long time, the Kosas bronzer kinda reminds me of. But thanks for your input! I feel the same way about the foundation. It's beautiful on photos, but does sit on the skin noticeably.

I don't like water either but I'm fat af because of medication really and since I switched I've lost 25 lbs but I want to lose more. Drinking more water is something I definitely need and want to do. At 38 it's more important lol. I want my skin to look hydrated too you know.

Mario said they do look darker in the pan then what shows up on the face I watched the video because I was confused what the other thing was cause they both looked like bronzers U do look super pretty , I have been wanting to try the smashbox tinted moisturizer for a while since they made a mini I'm gonna order it like when I'm done watching I'm just not sure Wich color to get I think light med is gonna be to light for me right now since it's summer . That's the issue I'm having I have like nothing to match my tan skin I ordered the YSl Nu tinted moisturizer but still haven't got it got the 2 samples that came with it in a set I got so mad and was like I got plenty of samples just put the tinted moisturizer on their not with the set cause I don't want this to happen the 3 rd time . So in the mean time I have ordered and purchased stuff that is suppose to be med tan colors and it shows up white on me so I am haven color matching issues.. 😂 why they say stuff in med tan and it turns out fair as u can get is beyond me 3 times now I have bought something that is suppose to be med tan and it's not
