One of my high school buddies pitched for the Pirates for a few months. He wasn't there long because he was traded shortly thereafter to the San Francisco Giants and preceded to win two World Series Rings. Unfortunately, our guide had no recollection of him.

I’m not a Pirates fan but it was a great tour and ballpark. And I got to watch my team (Nationals) lose to them tonight at PNC. Surreal.

I'm not a fan of the Pirates, but I chose them as my team in MLB The Show because of the ballpark.

It’s an interesting park because some hitters say it’s easy to hit homers and others say it’s hard.

@@RetroPopPlanet It seems to favor left handed hitters.

I live in Cali and i’m going to PNC in June. I can’t wait! Looks gorgeous! Buddy of mind is from Pitt and says it matches Oracle Park in its beauty! Gonna be great! Pitt cuisine is really something else from what I hear too!

Thanks - enjoy your vacation! Check out my other videos from that trip. First timer’s guide to Pittsburgh. It’s the pretty standard guide and nothing too out of the box. We traveled all over but it was still during the pandemic so some places were blocked off. A friend of mine played briefly (6 months) for the Pirates after getting traded from Boston where he won a World Series ring. While a Pirate I watched him pitch in Washington in Stephen Strasburg’s debut game. He was traded again mid-season to the Giants where he won three World Series rings. I was in San Fran last month and did a tour of that park as well. Unfortunately the teams were out of town so we couldn’t catch a game.

@@themaestro3034 Javier Lopez. He was listed as from PR but he grew up in Virginia. His mom taught Spanish at the high school where we graduated from…we were both class of 95. I didn’t play high school ball but played against him a couple times in Babe Ruth league. I used to be able to hit some off of him. My dad played against Nolan Ryan as a kid and nobody could hit him. I’m currently laid up from a softball injury so will def check out your video!
