Your videos are so terrific. Right before exiting the park there is a park road to the left, it would take you right to a nice open area of the Jordan River. He should have let you all visit for a bit. Where you were the reeds were blocking you. It is very thick and you would need a machete@!! If you had continued walking (over 100 degrees probably) you would have come to that open area. My wife and I spent an entire afternoon there with our feet and our butts in the cold water of the Jordan. It is a nice little ice cold stream at this point. We used to stay at a Tzimmer (like a B&B) just a quarter mile higher up the Bet Tzaida Rd from where you were. At night it had a wonderful view of the Lake and at night the stars were out! Tiberius lit up in the distance and little lights of the kibbutzim spread around the lake. Thank you Veronica. If your not married, you should find yourself a nice Israeli man and stay forever.
