The ksante v2 thing is lowkey annoying because it’s just redditors seeing a shield or a dash and ksante copy pasta inc. I highly doubt riot will ever try another champion with as much in their kit as ksante as ambessa has clear drawbacks with her dashes and the way her energy works.

Well it's not a K'sante v2. Because she can't build full tank and oneshot 3 people during his ultimate duration. But the same software engineer who worked on KSante also made Ambessa *so the similarity is there* she just isn't a version 2 of K'sante. The only drawback that Ambessa has is lack of CC (only a short CC if she lands an ultimate). Her energy doesn't seem like a problem at all. She basically has a more op ultimate than a Pantheon.

@@robertposaric6419 Her energy is a massive problem. The energy refund on her passive is huge but you can only use it if you’re going aggressive. The second you try to run you lose half your energy and don’t get that back. She has less raw damage than almost every other top lane fighter because they’re expecting her to stick onto you for longer, meaning she gets stat checked by most top lane characters. Her early game is also horrible because she has 0 haste, meaning she can’t even use her passive consistently. Her ultimate is not anywhere near as strong as Pantheon’s, and they aren’t even comparable to begin with lmao. Pantheon’s ult power is that it lets him jump somebody on another continent with near 0 warning. Ambessa’s ult is a projectile that’s incredibly easy to dodge and has a very clear max range that’s MILES shorter than Pantheon’s. Pantheon’s ult is a pseudo-global ult, Ambessa’s isn’t even close to that.

personally i don't think she's like k'sante. after playing her a bit she feels more like riven than anything riven also has 4 dashes built into her kit, she also has a dash + shield ability, a multicast q, and likes to weave autos in between her abils. while ambessa is an energy user this is practically irrelevant if you actually weave autos in between abils. obviously she's not exactly like riven since their ults are pretty much completely different, but i think that's the champion closest to ambessa

I think this is just a case of a feast or famine champion taken to an extreme level. You really don't have any utility to help in teamfights, except singling out a carry from the backline with your ult. Instead of actually giving meaningful things on her kit, riot just decided to slap random stats as passives on abilities, which just makes her more of a stat check champion, which is just gonna be insanely annoying to face her when she's ahead or to play with her when she's behind.

She isn't Ksante v2 because Ksante can 100 to 0 you while keeping you stunned for 4 seconds and kill you faster than you can even though "he's supposed to be squisher when he's all out". Ambessa is her own kind of problem, weak early game to the point you tend to feed your ass off but if she can get her items she's just a complete menace to deal with, can't outrun her especially not against a double dash that applies slows on both hits.

tbh she has very clear weaknesses. CCing her can cancel her dashes and she can be killed in cc. If she uses even 2 abilities she's already out of energy unless she can auto so if she isn't ON you she has hard time getting on you unless she ults. Also can get oneshot in fights pretty easily

Idk if she's giga op 60% wr or giga shit 40% wr, it's giga aids to play against her as an adc. She can outkite you easily and dive into backline with her ult (good luck having your teammates peel that lul). She might feed her ass off and lose the game by going in, it doesn't mattter; you're going to die, you're not going to have fun and there's nothing you can do about it. At least with normal assassins you can try and oneshot them.

Ambessa is actually KSante All Out: The Champion. They realized the messed up so hard with how OP Ksante is with all the true dmg, unstoppable,.... that they realized they can try to remake him as more balanced version being Ambessa. She has no hard CC outside of a single target suppression skill shot, no unstoppable and cannot go over walls.

Her winrate does not reflect her ability to be oppressive in lane. In the hands of a competent player she gives next to no ability to retaliate against her unless you're tryndamere or irelia since they can stick pretty well. Ability based champs, especially melee, just get outclassed by her mobility and relentless poke. The fact she is an energy champ and has a great passive for essentially always having enough energy to combo further exasperates her advantages in a lot of matchups. She isn't a brain dead stand still and auto, but with eclipse, this champ virtually takes no damage and insta kills you in the process.
