I had that first Valentine Barbie years ago! I was just thinking about her earlier today lol. I'm with you on unboxing - let them breathe! :D Ooo yeah, I've got an old Kelly coat made of that same material, and the exact same thing happened to it. What a bummer! So I'm very cautious with buying anything with that faux leather material now because it just doesn't last. Darn it. Those little balloons are genius! I love that! Thanks for sharing!

The creative souls Cinderella is even more beautiful with her hair free 😍😍😍 it is a gorgeous doll, who fits well that pink Extra dress ! I want to see her wearing more casual clothes ! 🤗🤗🤗 The problem with old dolls never unpacked before... I had the same deception with a Harley Davidson doll bought on Ebay few years ago. Her jacket fell into pieces of fabric when I unboxed her 😭😭😭 Time is not very kind with some type of fabric ! I love the bouquet of baloons ! You are always so creative, dear Toya !!!!

So sorry about that 1998 valentines Barbie. I was just thinking “oh no she’s gonna open her” that Barbie’s shirt is prone to degrading…. I have the same Barbie one out of box and one in box. The out of box, her shirt completely fell apart, I was thinking about painting over the fabric with puffy paint to perhaps revive what is there but haven’t yet…😢 I decided to leave the other in the box just for looks since her shirt probably will also fall apart. I had the Sentimental Valentine doll when i was younger, I got it at a yard sale for like $5, brand new in the box. But I was like 8 and I quickly tore through the box to play with the doll and it’s safe to say that I still have the doll, but the clothes and accessories are all over the place 😭🤚

Marilyn's dress was loose fitting in real life, actually! It was made like that to make her image a bit more clean because she had done some photoshoots that put her in hot water with the press. If you do want to recreate the real Marilyn on a MTM doll, the fit will work!

Ooh yeah I have a fake leather jacket from Barbie that also flaked. If you have another one of these shiny ones, paint it with flexible mod podge to try to keep it on
