Let's Try Out This Coconut Palette... | Colourpop Going Coconuts and Other Stuff

Hey Guys! So I, like perhaps many of you, fell victim to the fabulous holiday SALE on Colourpop's website last week and decided to take advantage of the discount and pick up their Going Coconuts palette and a few other things. So many of you recommended this palette to me and you are not alone- it seems like people have been going nuts over this thing since it launched! And I'll go ahead and tell you now, it's pretty fabulous if you like a neutral palette! I also grabbed a few other palettes I'll be swatching for you and testing out their Hydrating Setting Mist as well! Let me know if you grabbed anything from Colourpop during the sale (the new Bare Necessities palette maybe?) or if you were strong and resisted. First of all, you hesitating to reccomend an expensive makeup item does not make you a coward. It means you are genuine 😊 And second, no you are not alone on stressing over little things. I work myself up over everything that really shouldn't be a big deal. At 38 I still dont know how to break the habit! I have the double entendre palette but I still want the coconut one too. I like that you take price into serious consideration. For luxury priced items I expect something phenomenal that doesn’t have cheaper dupes that come close. Especially when I have 2 teenage sons that are NOT budget friendly. 🤣 Especially the one who drives, even though I love he is more independent, because teenage boy car insurance is painful.

Today’s eye look is FAB on u! AND I appreciate your pointing out color nuances. But the dark lipstick with those eyes? Even though they may be neutral, they shine and deserve to be the stars. For me, the dark lip detracts. Keep ‘em comin’!

I bought this palette on the sale, too. I've only used it once, so far, but I think it's nice. I'm not in love with it yet, but I need to try it more. The palette I am nuts over is the palette I have recently purchased on your recommendation, the Juvia's Place Nubian 2. WOW! When I opened it, I thought it was pretty, but then I used it. Hi Mandy! This video of yours was recommended to me I guess because I've been looking at the new bundle by ColourPop x Kelly Strack and she chose this palette for her bundle. I love that Hourglass palette. I love the Ambient Lighting Diffused Light. I love swiping my blush brush across the whole bottom row for my blusher. And I love the bronzer. It was worth every penny for me to find the finishing powder that I genuinely love. I'll be buying the Diffused Light forever. It's the only powder I can put in my under-eye area that doesn't turn cake-y or accentuate my lines.

The fact that you are hesitant to recommend the hourglass palette made me subscribe from this video 👏🏻 I was hesitant so I went in store to swatch their individual bronzers and blushes because everyone loved them and I hated them. I’ve also tried their veil powder and their single pan diffused light powders and hate all of those too 🤷🏻‍♀️ love me some expensive Charlotte tilbury powder and expensive byterry powder though 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

Oh my goodness how I stress myself out about stuff then realize that it was no big deal. All the time. I feel you on that one. I have had the Night Owl pallett in my cart for a month and have been eyeing the coconut one and the bare necessities as well. I have the Double Entendre and love it but would love to see you use that one as I feel stuck on coming up with some different looks. I got the Birds of Paradise palette last week. I kind of feel like there's not many different looks that I can get from it. When you put the colors on they all end up looking alike. This is my 1st Colorpop buy. It's very pigmented.

Both me and my sister got our licenses at 20, despite being able to get it at around 14 or 15 years old in my country. I remember my parents collectively decided that i was going to get a car when my sister graduated high school and i was in college (i stayed in my hometown) because they werent driving me anymore, because my sister didnt need driving in the mornings anymore (she took a year off). I watched an amazing review by Makeup Just For Fun and she literally showed how you can dupe 5 different CP palettes (including Going Coconuts and Double Entendre) from the Bare Necessities. I’m the same way despite knowing at the end of the day it’s only temporary. I have started making a list of things that may be bothering me. Putting it out there to physically mark off can be very satisfying. Are the shadows magnetic? Have seen some reviews saying they tend to move around which can be frustrating. I would lean towards more subtle eye shadows only because I would get the most use out it.

I was so happy when my son got his license, never worried too much about him. But my daughter! Oh how I stressed about her!! Yes, I am a stresser. Even as a child I would stress about the first day of school for a week and not sleep. I’m 55 and still stressing over stupid stuff, but not as bad as when I was young. I already have the Colorpop Give it to me Straight and Dream St. I feel like I can already get majority of the neutral shades from the new Bare Necessities palette from those two. I am with the other fans who say the weekly new releases are too much too fast. I also don't like the super chunky glitters that come in the newer Colorpop palettes. I know you said that there's nothing that covers flaws, spots, etc., however, I, respectfully, disagree! I don't disagree often with YT's and I've never disagreed with you, but on this, "one off" occasion, I actually do. There are things/ways to cover, conceal and hide any and all imperfections. There are "home remedies" and shop bought ones. I will list the first (home remedies) as shop bought inccurs what I think is unnecessary costs. I've listed below them below and will give instructions if asked. :- 1. Brown paper bag 2. Cardboard box 3. Ornate mask All of these can be made at home using existing materials in and around the house. Granted, some degree of imagination and creativity is required, but the results, I believe, can be breathtaking. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Sorry, but I couldn't help myself!

Hey Mandy! I wanted to start by saying I do love your channel. I think you do a great job breaking down how to use make up in general. I will say that I was really excited to use colourpop items based on yours and another youtubers recommendations. However I never recieved my package from them. It's been 3 months. I asked for a refund many times but they're refusing to do it because "of their low price point". To say I am disappointed is am understatement. I could understand if I'd gotten something and then didnt like it but I never even recieved my package.

Definitely doesn't make you a ”coward” just shows who u r as a person 😆 but any1 who would even come at u bc a product that worked for u doesn't work for them that's just part of makeup🤗 but I do understand where ur coming from! Ok so I went for it and bought the unlocked palette. I almost immediately returned it. I felt like they didn’t even show up and I am fair. I did not feel the hype was real. I love so many other blushes and bronzers and highlighter immensely more. It will probably keep me from buying any more hourglass products 😣🥴 I feel like I don’t understand what people see in these palettes. I wanted it for a long time and went back and forth and back and forth before jumping in. Have you made your final decision?
