The reason fruit from Japan is so expensive is because the land doesn’t lend itself well to the vast stretches of land necessary. Things that grows on trees are reasonably priced, but things like watermelon or grapes are crazy expensive. Because of that, fruit’s more of a special thing that it is here.

These mangoes are farmed in the city of Pak Karachi in the Malir area.
