@@datingfighter314 There are absolutely areas with 1 bedroom apartments and also a job available in the city. The rent around Cincy is lower than most other large cities but rising every year and depends on the county you are in. Places like Hyde park, Clifton, Westwood/Cheviot, Deer park, & OTR is awesome but on the upper end of these for finances. These areas are all very walkable for jobs. But look this up for yourself as Thats my opinion! Uber is highly available and easy in the city or in these places I listed above. When you get to smaller counties such as Wilmington, Fairfield, etc, Ubers will take longer to come by but 3/7 days pretty much guaranteed. I wish you the best of luck!!

"Cincinnati" in honor of the Society of the Cincinnati, made up of Revolutionary War veterans, of which he was a member; which was in turn named for Lucius Quinctius Cincinnatus, a dictator in the early Roman Republic who saved Rome from a crisis, and then retired to farming because he didn't want to remain in power !

I'm curious to know what Cincinnati is like......the people, the food scene, the character of the city, etc. Does it have good public transit? Is downtown walk-able?
@scottman8955 жыл бұрын
I felt that the downtown area was quite walk-able. The city also has a bus system as well as a streetcar which runs in a loop from downtown up to the area near Findlay Market. Cincinnati also has a lot of great food options from Findlay Market to the famous Cincinnati Chili at restaurant chains such as Skyline Chili. I was only in the city for a few hours, but it felt quite nice!
@raymondkidwell71355 жыл бұрын
Dirty, high crime, very corrupt police and government. Busses are ok if you are downtown but outside of downtown they are unreliable (late all the time or sometimes don't show up or other unprofessional behavior). The character of the city can best be described as "ghetto". The food is the best part since there's all kinds of good food- both in terms of restaurants and also what you can buy at the grocery store or market. You are a lot better off visiting the kentucky side- Newport for instance. It's less ghetto, less crime ridden on the kentucky side, corruption is slightly less. The entire city has moved south over the years. in the 1950s the kentucky side was farm and Ohio side city. Now most of the businesses, factories etc. have moved to kentucky where the undesirable ghetto people largely stayed in the northern side. If you want to see someone over dosing from heroine in the street or have your car broken into Cincinnati gives you about the highest chances in the nation for that. Or if you are white and walk down the wrong street and get attacked because of your race- those are the kind of "unique" experiences I have had enough though and really don't want to ever go back.
@raymondkidwell71355 жыл бұрын
@NorthTrEndz_CLE all Ohio cities suck. Any place is nice if you got a lot of money but for regular working people it's all ghetto in Ohio. One good thing is at least the rent is cheap.
@SL-vy8ue2 жыл бұрын
@@raymondkidwell7135 actually, since the early 2000’s, all the big developments have been on the Ohio side. Omni are moved from Covington to Cinnati, and Ashland moved from Covington to Delaware. Toyota moved from Erlanger to Dallas. The Covington riverboats are no more and Newport on the Levee has continually tried to reinvent itself. In the meantime, Cincinnati built a new football stadium, a baseball stadium, a new soccer stadium. The wonderful Underground Railroad Museum was built on the riverfront, as was the Reds Hall of Fame. GE opened on the banks, as did expanded parks, restaurants and apartments. OTR saw a new Shakespeare Theater, renovated Music Hall, a new Art Academy, a new School for the Creative and Performing Arts. The neighborhood is loaded with awesome restaurants, shops and breweries. There are now $1m townhomes there. Even Emilio Estevez owns in OTR. Some ghetto. Is Downtown walkable? Absolutely. Or you can take the free streetcar from the stadiums to OTR. Or rent a bike from on of the stands downtown. Raymond Kidwell is a cantankerous, I’ll-informed dope
@raymondkidwell71352 жыл бұрын
@@SL-vy8ue Yes for as long as I can remember endless millions and billions of dollars poured into Cincinnati in affirmative action programs for blacks and also renovation programs to de-ghettofiy it. The improvements have been mild and not worth the enormous expense. All the stadiums are paid for with sales tax hikes. They built million dollar condos and people were getting mugged and robbed because the ghetto is right around the corner so they weren't able to sell or rent most of the expensive places they built. So they just pour more and more money into it. They have endless piles of money to send overseas or for these renovations of the ghetto but when some regular working person like me needs help they can't spare ten cents. In fact they stole my unemployment and stole welfare benefits that I qualified for when I needed it. So let me rephrase it- the businesses and homes not funded by the government, not part of a welfare program or renovation program but actually private citizens or companies primarily is moving to the Kentucky side or other places out of state. Some of them move out of the country. I have steadily watched the factories and jobs move out of Cincinnati during my lifetime as well as the middle class apartments and homes turn into lower class ghetto areas. Like a typical third world country they do have an extremely rich upper class to go along with the extremely poor people that live there, but there's just a lack of people in the middle. Those people have mostly moved out due to the extreme favoritism towards dysfunctional and disabled people and the extreme racism against white people.

I have lived in Cincinnati Ohio all of my life and no it is not perfect we do have problems like City Hall corruption but that's life no city is perfect. My main beef is the weather. WE are in a State and City that has weather extremes. Tornado Alley is here. The winters can be Brutal like in 1977 when the Ohio River froze when it got down to minus 25 and in 1978 25 inches of snow. But as far as crime goes it is not as bad as others. Lots of Civic pride and love of sports here.

The level of crime, pollution, poverty and corruption in Cincinnati is so mind blowing that a normal person just can't wrap their head around it. It's like when you see something so f---d up and you are like "nah that can't be real" Cognitive dissonance. The place looks pretty approaching it on I-75 from kentucky or the river front area looks nice that's about it.

Cincinnati is one of the most corrupt cities in America. The skyline is beautiful though. Racial tension is through the roof. Does have professional sports. Dirty police officers. Suburbs of Cincinnati is okay. Very little nightlife Sunday through Thursday, city shuts down around 9, unless theirs a Bengals game. The entire city smells like rotten feet during the summer. Do not recommend moving their, unless you have a very high paying job. Again the suburbs are livable.
@raymondkidwell71355 жыл бұрын
I have Amelia police on video committing a felony crime of concealing evidence. I report this to the Sheriff, Attorney General etc. all they do is lie to me. I watched UDF get robbed about once a month and the US bank across from it robbed about once a month from my apartment window. Cops usually sitting there watch it happen and let the guy get away then write up a false report about it. It's not normal to get robbed 12 times a year and the guy never get caught- c'mon. Every time I tried to file a police report the police never made a report, but police did brag about assaulting people and said racist things to me. Got really screwed by Cincinnati State- I just needed one class to graduate and they wouldn't let me take it saying they hate white males. I find out zero men ever graduated and other racism and sexism- all clearly documented. Report it to the school, Department of Education, Department of Justice Civil Rights- I just get laughed at. I vowed to myself to never step foot in Ohio again if I can help it. Oh yea and they ripped me off for thousands of dollars of unemployment I was supposed to get but never did. Went to the welfare office downtown cincinnati- used my social to get a gas card I qualified for. The guy there put it in his pocket- the people working at the welfare office actually steal people's benefits- usually the white people. I report this and the police and FBI really don't care. Literally there are defrauding the federal government out of millions of dollars through welfare fraud and fraud at the colleges. Apparently nobody in the federal government cares. On and on it goes. Yes these problems exist all across America. Its corrupt everywhere. But in Ohio it's on a whole other level- like literally nobody cares about murders, rapes, massive fraud etc. and if you do care you'll probably end up moving out of the place. It's literally like being in a third world country. Suburbs are often corrupt and bad as well. Only some of the really expensive areas- those are the only decent areas. But you are still dealing with the corrupt Ohio government no matter where you are in the state. Even UC a lot of unprofessional and illegal stuff going on there. You have to be rich and well connected to live a decent life or to be taken seriously by anybody- which is exactly the same as third world country.
