They do this here too. Villages with 1000 people get sometimes the same amount of refutschis. The Greens and other commies openly said 10-15 years ago that now after the cities are "diverse" they want to make rural areas less white and so they did and still do.

Travel speed of a Leopard 2 should be like 40-50 km/h. So if you have the refuel once after 500km you should make it in around 10 hours. Probably less if you go full speed. :P

The former German settlements in Siebenbürgen (Transylvania) were renowned for their fortified churches. Many still exist and are quite impressive: see Birthälm (Biertan) and Weißkirch, for example. but there are quite a few, considerably larger than the one in Gochsheim.

Somewhere I visited in the North of England called Durham is an interesting sight. A giant cathedral on a hill overlooking the whole city as well as a small castle next to it. It’s part of the university now and I think in the cathedrals small court yard is where a scene from Harry Potter was filmed.

It looks so much like many parts of Germany, brand new, I'm assuming it was rebuilt after the continuing Allied occupation when they'd illegally carpet bombed the West of Europe. Really great concept, I'd heard of some German areas never being Serfs, but thought it was more like Hanover and Thuringia. Here in jUK we have many, many hands in our pies, like a baron, from the "Norman invasion", who just happened to bring guess who here, as Julius Cesar had done before them. Then there are the Dukedoms, then Duchy's, like the Duchy of Cornwall and the Duchy of Lancaster, which Prince Charles occupies both offices. So, there are Counties and Boroughs, Margaret Thatcher, under Keith Joseph, disbanded the County Councils and changed the law of the Local Government Act of 1888, sec 79(2), that the inhabitants of a county shall have no duties or liabilities and that the Council shall have ALL of them. That was changed in 1985 under, again, the Local Government Act but this time section 17(b), and/or(c). There's also the Churche's Provinces, of which there are two, the Province of York and the Province of Canterbury, but that's Catholic, so after the lunatic Henry 8th, who also brought some you know whos to get his divorce done, changed the Catholic Church's standing and sacked all the monasteries and cathedrals for the booty(gold). Then came the Police, as the Peelers, then they changed their name to Bobbies, who were set up to protect the merchants in the City of London, gee, I wonder why? Then in 1911, just as many you know whos were arriving from Russia after Russia had lost the Ruso-Jap war, the Poor Laws were changed to bring about the birth of the National Insurance... Guess who would be behind that money spinner??? Correct, them! Indeed so. Maybe the nearest English equivalent is Royal Tunbridge Wells, or even Royal Berkshire, which is a county, but they're down South and I'm up North.

I used Bamberg as a travel hub this summer for four days (mostly because of its proximity to Burg Lauenstein, a castle that I've long wanted to visit but is a bit out of the way). Relatively speaking, I was somewhat disappointed. Other than the cathedral, which is genuinely magnificent, I would say that many other German and Franconian cities offer more and better of what you can find in Bamberg. I would say that Nürnberg, Bayreuth, Coburg and, yes, even Würzburg are more rewarding, especially for a stay of several days. I haven't been to Schweinfurt, but it's renowned for an exceptional art gallery, featuring works by Caspar David Friedrich. Would love to tour it someday.

@@redpillgermany2162 Funny you should say that. I tried the vaunted Bamberg Rauchbier. Let's just say that I definitely prefer Weißbier! One thing I *will* give Bavaria -- its traditional cuisine is Germany's best. I also have a fondness for the Röstla that are indigenous to Nürnberg and the Weißwurst that, as far as I know, also originates in Bavaria.

Perhaps you can answer my question; It occurred to me when I am walking through certain villages in Germany that it's so quiet in the streets! Especially where there's people living, thus not the ones with shops. What is it with that? I'm from the Netherlands, so we're pretty much crowded with people, you will see them every time when you walk out the door. But in Germany it just looks like no one is living up there, no people coming in or out their doors....

There is no reason to walk on the streets except for leaving the house and going somewhere. If you want to see the people you must go where people go, moutain tops may be full of people over the weekend.

I would be going for a stroll everyday if I lived here, but then maybe people get bored of seeing even these nice houses. I suspect that having cars able to go down these narrow streets and few social areas and shops and bars and such in between the houses reduces people's comfort with being outside. Plus the old "no community anymore, no need to go for strolls and promenades, entertainment at home" the same reasons people stay home elsewhere.

Love these videos, people don’t realize that much of medieval Christian folklore comes from Germany especially the ones pertaining to noble princes and princesses. The hundreds of micro states in the Holy Roman Empire & first/second reichs each had their own ruling house and noble family all working together with Rome. Much of the old Halloween folklore comes from east Europe in this time period as well, witches (pagan women), vampiric royal accountants/ Frankenstein (very early medical & science experiments-probably all illegal by Rome)/ Dracula folklore (Van-Helsing movie basically lol).

It ruined my vacation. Regional trains used to be pleasant ways of getting about from place to place, not at all crowded. One could always find an empty area just for oneself. This summer? Packed like sardines in a can. Awful. The IC/ICE trains were better, but those won't get you to the more out-of-the-way treasures.
